10/10 on every aspect of dining! Literally the best Mexican restaurant in Owensboro! Food was so delicious! Best tacos Carne Azadas!! Service was top notch(Degris(I think))!! So glad I tried it again! It was my son’s favorite!
Delicious! I love this place! We eat here A Lot!!! Reminds me of a place where my family would go when I was a toddler. I was scared of piñata’s so my parents would call to warn them I was coming lolololol! One time they put them in the bathroom. I walked in and turned on the light and lost my mind! 🤣
I hope this place considers getting a few decorative piñatas! That would be cool! Best Mexican food in the ‘Boro !! 🔥🤙🏻
My husband and I have eaten at several Mexican restaurants in Owensboro and we find El Molcajete to have the best Mexican food in Owensboro and at great prices. The booths are spacious, the service is fast and the staff is always eager to please.

El Molcajete Mexican Cuisine is a great spot for dinner, offering consistently good food, excellent flavor, and spices cooked to perfection. The small dining area can be loud, but the kick-ass service and welcoming atmosphere make up for it. This Mexican restaurant is highly recommended for its fantastic food, including delicious chicken flautas, chimichanga, and the best tacos Carne Azadas. The polite staff doesn’t rush you and makes you feel like a regular. Large Bloody Marys are really big and very stout. Highly freakin’ recommend—best in Owensboro!
