El Toribio is Ok. Since Owensboro has gotten so many Mexican restaurants now, this is probably the one I go to least. The sasla is just crushed tomatoes with garlic powder. If you like your salsa bland, this is the place for you. I got to say the taco salad never disappoints. At least they season their chicken, "unlike Papa Grande." I love El Toribios Chili Relleno, but they only give you a tiny piece of the relleno pepper. At least the other mexican restaurants give you the full pepper.

This place is by far the worst. Me and my husband went there on a Sunday. I got the enchiladas and he got a burrito. The hamburger meat on the burrito and the pork on my enchiladas were microwaved. We heard them put it in there, the plates were hotter than outlr food, and when the waitress came by and asked we told her that it wasnt good, mind you we still had all our food on the plate, she still charged us almost 50 dollars. Then she has to give us change from her purse cause there was no money in the drawer...

I had the Speedy Gonzales and it was great.Chips and salsa were good.I am not sure about the food my lunch mates ordered, but they ate it, so it reached that level for sure.Parking: Parking all the way around the building.

Everyone is saying the food is over priced but really they r reasonable they r just overcharging when u go to check out. We was n there Aug 3rd and got a fajita Jalisco, fajita taco salad, 2 jumbo lime margarita, 2 small peach margarita, and a ice water. If u look at there new n updated menu I should of only been charged 59.61 but was charged 77.00 and some change. U got me this time but won't ever happen again!UPDATE: I did speak to an owner she did apologize and did say it was something wrong on there end with the systems. We have worked it out and she was very polite. I am def up to giving it a try another time ?

Wayyyy Overpriced. Chips were uneditable. Food was very spicy. Couldn’t eat it, wasn’t supposed to be spicy. Bathroom is missing walls & none of the doors would shut. Sketchy, we should’ve known it was a red flag that it was empty.
Looks good but the chicken was spoiled the shrimp had the poop vane still in it the rice was dried out and crunchy the beans were flavorless no salt at all and the nacho chips tasted like they were cooked in dirty oil the salsa was just red gold canned tomatoes, but the ice in it he Pepsi was cold

Was overcharged. My husband went into the restaurant and ordered our food. 2 smothered chicken, 2 beef burrito with cheese, cheese sauce, and a Margarita. They charged him $50. I got online to order it for pickup, and everything in the cart only totaled $35. When I called to ask about it, I was told I'm looking at the wrong menu, and they charge more if picking up your order.

Food was not great for 5 of us to eat for $94!!! Not to mention, 3 were kids meals. I had a taco salad, and my husband had a quesadilla. Not sure how our total was $94 from that! My husband made her ring it up twice and I was not in there when he paid to verify pricing or I would have. It was INSANE! We will not go back if they keep scamming local customers who support local. Mind blown!!
