The food is amazing but on two separate occasions, the manager has been unjustifiably rude. I miss the food but have not gone back. I only leave this review because someone was sharing a similar situation with the same manager so it’s not isolated to me. Food is great, but know there is a chance you will experience some disrespect and hateful looks from the main guy.

Nice clean restaurant but lacking in several areas. Quickly seated with chips but nobody came to get our order, the chips were stale, the meat in the chimi was well overcooked, and not exaggerating only a teaspoon of sour cream and a teaspoon of guacamole if that much. In checking out was overcharged $3.25 for a drink we didn't order. With all that said yes I would go back but would be extremely cautious with everything!

I used to really like this place and when it first opened was great but it has gone way down hill!! Last three times I’ve got food it was cold, tasted bad and this time it gave me food poisoning!! Ive been sick for two days!! Tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but this is the last straw!! I’m never going back again!! Food is EXTREMELY bad!!

Ernesto has worked diligently to make this the best Mexican restaurant for miles around. The food is excellent and he even cook's to a reasonable request. The building looks WELL maintained as it should... and 99% of Mexican restaurant building establishments do NOT look properly maintained. He is there everytime I visit so I know he is actively involved in making it a GOOD experience. As of this writing I will say, the prices at his establishment can't be beat. Fantastic experience all the way around. Ernesto is a fantastic human... trying to make your experience a good one.

If I could leave a 0 star review I would. This place has gone way down hill in the past few years but tonight was my final straw. Chicken tasted like it was took straight from the freezer to the microwave. I tried giving the benefit of the doubt and bring this to the owners attention and chalk it up as a lose and go on but the owner literally had 0 interest in my concerns or what I had to say. Shame to see this place has gone so far down hill

Love this place!!! One of my favorite Mexican restaurants. Pretty good service. We also get the gorditas and wet burrito ( it has two different meats in it- chicken & beef- but the chicken is a little bbq tasting by my boyfriend LOVES it and it's huge. )
My family and I ate here for the first time last week! The food was really good, and a decent price. I had the seafood and steak fajita, which was super tasty! The waiter was friendly and stayed on top of our needs as a table. If you like Mexican cuisine food, don't be afraid to try them out.Kid-friendliness: It's definitely a good place for a family to dine in, including kids.

Ernesto is the best! My wife and I have eaten some of the best Mexican food in Texas, New Mexico, California and Mexico and this place is the real deal. The Chile rellenos is the best I’ve ever had. One of the best menu selections. Something for everyone. Even my picky relatives found something to enjoy. Great atmosphere, super friendly. Keep it up Ernesto!

Three weeks later: I had the $8 lunch special #4 chimichanga pork or chicken plus soft drink. There was an extra charge of $1 for pork that was not noted on the menu. They charge $7.49 or $8.49 with no notice on the menu. They charge for using a credit card with no notice. I stopped using my previous Mexican restaurant for such undisclosed overcharges.Good and service still excellent.First time at Ernesto’s. I drove up and down Emory Dr but could not find it. I even searched two strip malls on Emory Dr. As I was about to drive off, I saw a tall sign in Wesleyan Park Plaza shopping center.I had #17 steak and shrimp with mushrooms and onions, rice and beans. The rice was the best I ever had. The salsa was hotter than I like, but I ate it. They had functional straws, not a half inch peeking over the rim of the glass. Excellent service. The ones I met all had good English. They did try to charge a credit card fee without notice on the menu or a sign at the cashier. Ernesto himself canceled the charge and I paid in cash. I intend to go back.
