Green River Distilling Co.

We really enjoy Green River bourbon and decided to take a day trip to go visit this distillery and take a tour. The staff was SO friendly! The cocktails before were fantastic. Grant was our tour guide and did an excellent job. We had both been on other bourbon tours before but he taught us things we had still never heard from anywhere else.

This place has such a rich history. The tastings at the end made me love this bourbon even more. We are so excited to tell all our friends about our experience. I would highly recommend!

A must stop on the Bourbon Trail. Even though the location is a little out of the way from the majority of the distilleries on the Trail, the history, The amazing site and buildings, the area around Owensboro and especially the Green River Bourbon you can sample is all worth the extra miles! WE visited all three distilleries on the "Stateline Whiskey Tour" and enjoyed all three but this one the most.

I suggest you ask for Hannah as your tour guide. She was great sharing the history of the site and families involved over the years and did was very knowledgeable about all the facets of the distilling process...

I had been trying to get to Green River for two years because I love their Wheated Bourbon and was not disappointed as the visit was everything and much more that I was expecting!

What a great time. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. They even gave us a last minute upgrade to our tour that includes barrel theiving. The tour guide was a great and he really catered the experience to our group’s personality. The facility is out of the way from much of the bourbon trail, but if you’re willing to add this stop (we came in from Missouri and stopped on the way to Louisville), you won’t regret it!

We did the sit and sip. Nate was awesome explained history, the drinks and answered all our questions.

Unmissable and the best experience at one of the oldest registered distilleries. Superb value for money, attention to detail, time and effort put in to make the tour special for the guests was truly remarkable . Cannot recommend enough

Did a spur of the moment tour while playing tennis in Owensboro. The tour was very good, our guide did a fantastic job and the bourbon was great!

Stopped by for a quick visit and met the Tour Guide Tim. He was an amazing host and made my short stop quite memorable. Will be back to take his full tour and enjoy more of Green River.

Our tour guide was awesome! Very knowledgeable about Green River’s history and bourbon overall! Definitely worth it and will be returning to tour again soon!
