Jamaican Yard Vibez had their food truck at the Henderson Dust Bowl. I never had Jamaican food before but the oxtail with Mac and cheese and candy yams was beyond good, it was absolutely amazing. The portions are perfect, the meat was so tender you could cut it with a plastic spoon. The lady who took my order was super sweet, and the cook was amazing. They aren't local but I would definitely drive to owensboro to eat here.
I tried their jamacian beef patties, coco bread, ox tails and red beans and rice. let me tell you i never knew what I missing! everything I ate I loved! portions large enough to feed my husband and myself, super friendly staff, this place is a must try!!!
Had the food truck at the Derby fair downtown tonight and it was SO GOOD. Got the jerk chicken meal with rice and beans and mac and cheese. Was just what I needed after the 5k to replenish my energy and my soul. Great friendly service, too. Thanks you all!
