We love this Spot!! The food is always served fresh and is very Delicious!! From the steaks to the Seafood bowls!! Everytime we visit Owensboros Friday after 5, we make an opportunity to stop here and eat! Its a little high end but well worth the Good ole american dollar! If you are ever in the area... make sure to Stop By!! You will not be dissatisfied nor disappointed. We Highly recommend!!

Service was lacking, to say the least. Our steaks were not cooked to order, and when we mentioned it to the waitress, she said they were training a new cook—but offered no solution to fix the issue. We also didn’t receive part of our order, and when we asked about it, the waitress said it was probably somewhere in the back. She eventually brought it, but it took quite a while.
We don’t mind paying for great food, but the quality we received didn’t match the price. Spending $200 for two people—especially when the food and service were disappointing—is just not worth it. We did get an appetizer, and my husband had several beers.
We’ve eaten here off and on for several years and have always been happy, but this place has definitely gone downhill. Sadly, we won’t be coming back.

Best pork chop I’ve ever had - juicy, served with a zesty but refined sauce, plenty of corn, and very good cheese grits. The bartender made a fine margarita, as well, and the staff and patrons were friendly and helpful. Lure is several steps above the typical hotel restaurant - many of the patrons were locals, and while it was busy, there was no wait to be seated. I’m not a seafood fan, but if their offerings on that part of the menu are half as good as what I had, everyone will leave this place full and more than satisfied.

My husband and I never ate here before. The atmosphere was great. Our server jagger suggested the fried green tomatoes they were delicious. We chose the burger and the server suggested an upgrade to truffle fries our meal was fantastic and great service.

I’ve been doing n Owensboro for a little while now, and this is one of the best places I’ve found. I’ve tried most of the menu at this point, and let me tell you, everything is above average to excellent. The beer and whiskey list is pretty impressive too!
Nice attention to detail. Server was very attentive, food was excellent. Oh, and the Old Fashioned cocktail was superb!!!

Location is ideal, corner of the Hampton Inn, walking distance to the convention center, and convenient to the river waterfront.
I was warmly welcomed the second I walked through the revolving door. The restaurant team was genuine with greeting me and getting me seated promptly after asking if I prefer an inside or outdoor option. The decor inside was lovely but the weather today was perfect, so I chose outside.
A young man gathered and presented me with menus, and brought me to my preferred cozy corner spot said Elise will be right with you shortly.
Witnessed many tables occupied and enjoying themselves. A shaded patio, soft tasteful music playing on the speaker, views of the water and others enjoying the environment, and a gentle breeze.
Elise was the reason I decided to dine at Lure for lunch. Earlier today, I was walking the riverwalk and noticed a happy crowd on the patio. When you see both a server and guests smiling, it’s not always common to see these days.
She made me feel welcomed even as a single diner. She made great menu suggestions, was timely, kept my water full, and offered me a to go box (and a to go bag!) and invited me to stay and enjoy the weather. As an observation, she proved consistent, kind service to every table she touched.
I always say delight is in the details. She and her team seem to be excellent ambassadors of your brand.
Only suggestion I can share is add a side salad to the menu. I enjoyed the crabcake Benedict, for my personal portion size I made it into 2 meals. I would have ordered a single crab cake with a fresh side salad.
Absolutely enjoyable. I’ll be back for more next time work brings me to town.
Elise also spoke highly of the restaurant owner and share they have a few other restaurants in town. Because of this lunch experience, I would intentionally choose to return and try the other restaurants this ownership offers.
She asked me to write a review because it means a lot. Without hesitation, I’m writing in hopes this helps show love to a local owned establishment doing it right.
