Hands down the best Philly omlettes in town.
When my wife asks if I want to go out for breakfast, there isn't even a discussion. She's asking if I want to go to Mechanicsville (unless they're closed, of course), and the answer is always yes.

My only complaint is that they are not open on weekends, which is when we most commonly have family or friends over, so I can't show off the best omlettes in town to those visiting.

That being said, I do applaud Tia for setting boundaries. As a former chef, I know well how hard the restaurant business can be on your mental well-being as well as your body (hence why I'm a 'former' chef).

Long story short: Fantastic place for breakfast. Haven't sampled much of the lunch and dinner menu, but the other customers all rave about Tia's cooking, and from my personal experience, I have no reason to doubt them.

Side note: Mechanicsville is an old-style diner with around 7 tables and a long counter with stools. Seating is very limited.

Not only was the food fantastic but the ladies running it are very sweet and welcoming. It was really a gem to find. I wish them all the best and hope they are successful in the future

We tried this place this morning and greeted with friendly staff! We ordered omelet with meats, it was big and full of meat very Flavorful!! I got the eggs,potatoes and bacon plate with biscuits n gravy and side of waffle, loved the potatoes! Everything tasted great and ton of flavor! Biscuit and gravy was ok. Waffle was great! But all in all 10/10!! Definitely will go back again and will try their lunch!!

Stopped by this morning and had the patty melt and my wife, the BLT. This place is off the charts insane in a GOOD way! Food was amazing and perfect, and the service and vibe made us wish we came to Owensboro more often. Place was so good, we gave a 50% tip! Loved this place.
