The food was really good. But my server didn't speak much English so it was a little annoying but understandable. The service is really good she was waiting on me to order, what I mean is she was just standing there while I was looking at the menu.Kid-friendliness: They were really nice.
Great place for authentic Mexican cuisine. We sat at the bar, and Tanya was great. We had the shrimp fajita. It was delicious. We will definitely be back when in the area.

Papa Grande's is my favorite restaurant for Mexican food. Whether it's the location on Hwy 54 or Southtown Boulevard, you're guaranteed excellent service and delicious food at a great price. Forget all of the others and go here ?Kid-friendliness: Kids menu with both Mexican and American food options.

This and el toribio are by far the two worst Mexican restaurants in Owensboro. Papa grande is just horrible and may in fact be a step down from el toribio. The staff is rude and the food is horrible!

Great spot! Best Mexican Food in Owensboro, and anywhere else I've been in Kentucky or Indiana. Everything on the menu is delicious. Favorite go to is the carne asada tacos. The hot tomatillo sauce is on point for spicy! Guacamole is made to order right in front of you, and you can not beat the margaritas!

This has become our favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. I love their fresh salsa and table-side guacamole. All of the lunch specials I have tried have been great. One thing that is different about them is that you get a little dish of sweet, lightly spiced mayonnaise with your chips and salsa. It is so good. I have even dipped my seasoned potatoes in it.

Really nice Mexican restaurant on the east side of Owensboro. The service was friendly and the food was very quick. Everyone at our table enjoyed their food.I recommend the shrimp tacos. The “Mexican ranch” suace served with the basket of chips was a unique touch.Parking could us a little help. If you have someone in your party with mobility issues, you should plan to drop them off at the entrance.

Have liked everything i have tried there so far. I just wish they would season their chicken. If i order chicken chimichanga at most restaurants, they have some seasoning in it, but Papa Grande is very bland. Everything else besides that is very decent.
