You get a fun show and tons of food for the price. But, dealt with some bad indigestion afterwards. Only reason why 4 and not 5 stars.
Food was good but gave me food poisoning
This place has unusual hours. It is located on one of the busiest strips in town, yet is closed for hours in the middle of the day Monday-Friday. We tried several times to eat and it was always closed. They boast that they are under new management and do not accept any discounts or coupons. The atmosphere is not the same fun entertainment of catching shrimp in your mouth from before. The old Shoguns was a favorite spot and super friendly. Kids are not welcomed here. The new management killed the fun vibe. For the price and the stuffy atmosphere, and weird hours, we won't be back.
We have been twice since the new ownership, both times the food has been disappointing. Today in particular, the chef was rude while preparing the food. Another family at our table found two blonde hairs in their rice. They did not have blonde hair, the waitress didn’t, and neither did the chef. When they told the chef, he said he’d go tell the manager. The manager never came out to apologize and the waitress tried bringing checks around before any adjustment had been made. The family complained to the waitress and she got smart and said that maybe it was his wife’s hair. She was two plates away from the two individuals who found the hairs. Just overall a very poor experience!!
My sushi roll was fresh, well-presented, and delicious.
However, I ordered a 10-ounce Ribeye Med-Rare. It came out looking like it was warmed in a cool oven. It didn't look appealing at all. I'd also estimate that nearly a 3rd of my 10-ounce steak was fat and gristle.
My wife ordered butter and herb flounder with sweet potato fries. The fish filets looked broiled, not at all browned and they were covered in some sort of reddish-colored sauce, which certainly did not appear to be butter and herb. The sweet potato fries were mushy. My wife lost her appetite and thankfully her meal was taken off our bill. The manager also brought us some fried pot stickers as we were leaving, which was nice.

I honestly don’t see any room for improvement. The staff was outstanding. The food was really good. The facility was clean. I heard that they’re under new management and if that’s the fact, they are doing an excellent job.

My wife and I have visited many Hibachi establishments, this location is by far our least favorite.
The consistency in flavor in the food that is prepared before you is certainly dependent on the Chef.
After our dinner stay, we had to google ways to remove the pungent taste and smell of garlic from our mouths.

$19 for teriyaki chicken is too much. Benihana it's $20 and that's a much better restaurant

Regardless of the food, the hibachi chef was entirely unprofessional and inappropriate. He badgered another member of my party during the entirety of the cooking because of their choice of meal. Told them they could eat whatever they wanted because “summer is over and you don’t need to look sexy” Overall, I would never go back again because if they will employ people that treat their customers like that - they have very poor management.

Are you guys aware that you have a giant hole in the wall that you can pass food out to cars? I was surprised too since I was told that I “have” to come in for mobile orders when I tried to use THE GIANT HOLE IN THE WALL. Forcing someone with Covid to come in to get their food is probably not the best idea…..

There tempura appetizer sauce must've changed bc it's all vinegary now, half the time the sushi is wrong and the wait time for a server after you've been seated is atrocious, edit- they got my food wrong and then the waitress told me to " order the right thing next time"

The service and atmosphere were great however, I ordered grilled scallops and they were freezer burnt along with the shrimp they grilled in front of us.
