Sue’s Lakeview Restaurant

Wonderful food and wonderful people! Went here with my friend as the first stop in our journey to eat at a locally-owned restaurant in every KY county and this was the PERFECT place to start! Sue and Gary represent the best of what rural Kentucky has to offer. Do not pass up the opportunity to experience great food and even greater company!

We went it was slow and talked to the owner. She was a delight. Gary and Sue both served us. The catfish was great and homemade hush puppies were the best I had so far.

What a place! My girlfriend and I were in the area and stumbled upon this restaurant, which completely made our day. Sue and Gary are absolutely great, and Sue’s food is incredible. This gem is worth the drive. Places like this are far and few between, but there’s definitely no one like Sue. She whipped us up the best hot brown, onion rings, and frog legs I’ve ever had, all the while telling us hilarious stories of her experiences. 10/10 would recommend. Thank you Sue and Gary!

My friend and I were looking for a small town diner. I’m so glad we chose Sues Lakeview Restaurant. I loved the down home feel, the prices, the food and conversation. I would highly recommend it.

Always come here when we are in town visiting family. Only place in town we eat at. Amazing home cooked meals. Couldn’t ask for better food or service!! Ate here several times and never had bad food or never had bad experience.

We stopped by today, for the first time, for lunch. The food was delicious. The owner was very friendly and cared about our opinions. Thank you for your kindness. We will be back.

The food is good , It's clean, the owner is a amazing person and the workers are also so sweet. If you haven't been then you need to go. You will like it.

I have eaten at Sue’s often and I have never had a bad meal.

We decided to stop in as we were passing through on our way to visit family. The food was a solid 8/10, the owner/managment of the establishment....1/10...completely unhinged. Not only is she rude but for some reason thinks she can control how quickly and how much the patrons can consume in what is apparantly a timed meal/experience....whichever you prefer. Again, excellent food but tye rest of the experience is why we will not be returning.

Catfish dinner with Fried Cushaw side was excellent ! Homemade hush puppies 👍👍Enjoy visiting with Gary and Sue…. very nice people and excellent hosts !

Stopped at Sue’s the last weekend of October 2024 on return home from trip to Southern Indiana. Good food, good service, even better ambiance, there was Harley in the dining room! When ever passing thru Owenton, we’ll be back.

Was in town for something and wanted to support a small business. When i looked it up i thought i would enjoy a lake view lunch but was greeted with most windows blocked other than 3 in the front. As soon as i walked in the door i felt rushed to order as they were about to be done serving breakfast. My buddy ordered lunch and I went to order pancakes when a lady from the kitchen got mad and rudely told me she would not do lunch and breakfast. After i chose something to eat off the lunch menu everything was good till we went to pay. I want to thank the two guys running the front as they gave us amazing service. When I went to pay I used card and then asked about leaving a tip on the card and nothing was said back to me. As I went to pull out of the parking lot the same lady came outside hoopin and hollerin at me for no reason. If you can handle her rudeness i suggest this place because the food is fantastic.
