Roach infested, non commercial kitchen, pop was from two liters and was flat. Sticky tables, and Wilma’s helper was out of her mind.
I had the breakfast buffet, best biscuits in Kentucky. Also, the fried apples… Dang! It is like stepping into grandmas kitchen. Got a pie to go, two people for breakfast Buffett and it only cost $30… seriously, you ain’t getting McGarbage for that price.

Just no. We tried to eat here 2 days ago. We love to support local when in new areas so we were excited to go support this place, but this is a hard no. Roaches everywhere, even on the radio she turns on. The kitchen is not a commercial kitchen and had so much trash and dirty dishes piled up despite not being busy that we can see why the roaches liked it so much. When our drinks came out and one was in my sister's Mt Dew cup and inside her straw, we left without eating. The health department seriously needs to do something about this one.

First of all I ate at Wilma’s for the first time 50 years ago. Wilma is a nice lady who does her best. But it is time for her to retire. Her food is not great anymore and the restaurant is dirty and the sanitation horrible. The Johnson County Health Department needs to act

We stopped here excited to support a local place while in the area. It was the dirtiest kitchen all four of us have ever seen and roaches were spotted on the wall, clustered on a radio between our table and the open kitchen, and one was found floating in my sister's Mt. Dew and inside the bend of her straw. We left without eating.
Just awful. Dirty, bugs, waited an hour and a half for food. Should have left instead.
Great customer service and feel as if you’re at someone’s home eating a home cooked meal but the Fountain drinks tasted old and didn’t have any carbonation to them. Onions on the burger had the peal left on them. Dining area small, cluttered, and air conditioning was not working so it was very hot! Food was cheaper than other restaurants but the quality reflects the price

I'm rating 1 star because it's not possible to deduct stars! The kitchen is a regular home type setup, which would've been fine if it hadn't been disgustingly grimy. We thought the layout was odd when we first walked in but didn't know what we had really walked into until we had ordered. We sat patiently at our sticky table in the non air-conditioned establishment and waited 20 minutes for iced tea (or that's what it was supposed to be) and almost an hour for our "food". Something on my club sandwich was spoiled, and my French fries might have been ok if they hadn't been left in the deep fryer until they were almost black and hard as rocks. My hubby's steak was so saturated in worchestershire sauce that he couldn't stomach to eat it and said the hard, crumbly days old biscuit that came with his meal was the most "edible" part. To beat it all, when we stood up to get the heck out of there, a cockroach ran in front of my foot. She got a tip, but only because we needed to get the heck out of there! Trying to give the nice old lady running the place, the benefit of a doubt left us both ill for the better part of 2 days. How the health department has not shut this place down is beyond me!

I refuse to eat here. I delivered a stove to this restaurant, and it was the filthiest kitchen I have ever been in. Cockroaches were everywhere. The stove we removed was black with a half-inch of grease and grime covering the entire thing. It looked like it hadn’t been washed in years. I don’t know how they stay in business, as several people have told me they got sick after eating there.

This is a very honest home kitchen. Wilma is an absolute sweetheart and was so kind and attentive to our large family. We are visiting from out of town and are so glad we found this gem. A great homemade meal full of flavors with huge portions started our day right.

It doesn't get more home cooking than Wilma's. It is the most down home place I have been in a long time. Don't miss this hidden gem. You won't find better food or hospitality anywhere
