You can’t get anymore hometown and friendly than this place. The absolute best staff there is. My 3 year old daughter has been going here once a week since she was little to eat breakfast with her great grandparents. The entire staff treat her like a local celebrity every time she walks in. They all know her name, she knows all theirs too. They celebrate her birthday and treat her with so much kindness. I can’t give them enough praise or thank them enough! She looks forward to breakfast there every week.

Came for early lunch with my family. Was looking for some home style local cooking. Was not disappointed. Was greeted by very friendly staff. Food: catfish (crispy on the outside tender on the inside, not greasy,, burgers, slaw, pies and cobbler were delicious.Kid-friendliness: There's no real kid menu, but staff is very friendly and was accommodating.

Food's good. There's nothing fancy about the place, just tasty, well-made food. Don't pass on the sides and BE SURE TO GET THE CORN BREAD CAKES. You'll thank yourself. And the pies are GREAT. Very much Southern-level psweet, but still good.

Trust me- get off at exit 48 from I-65 in Kentucky and drive about a mile to enjoy the delicious home cooking here! I'm so glad we did! Our server recommended a special from the board and she was right on- the Kentucky Hot brown with homemade cheese sauce and fresh slice of tomato mixed perfectly with the slice of turkey and ham on toast. Delish! It comes with 2 sides and I expect they are all very good but I loved the hot broccoli and cheese side and the cold pea salad side. In fact I even ordered one to take home! Couldn't resist also ordering a slice each of homemade German Chocolate cake and pineapple upside down cake for us to take home. They are smart- they bake the desserts and leave them right near the customer's tables so you realize during your meal that you must try those fabulous homemade desserts too! We noticed that all the servers were attentive and kind, prices are very reasonable and although it is an older building and establishment- I could not have cared less because I loved the food way more than worrying about the ambience . This is a "must stop in to eat" kind of place- oh, and parking is easy in the empty lot across the street.

Best Restaurant in the area, and a great value! Table service with friendly and attentive staff. Menu includes breakfast, sandwiches, and dinners, but the real gems are on the "Daily Specials" board. I had to choose between the Meatloaf special and the Hot Brown special. The kind server said both were good choices, but she recommended the Hot Brown. So that's what I ordered. Along with a side salad, some mashed potatoes with brown gravy, and a super large and moist corn cake. The Hot Brown was served in an individual casserole dish. It had toasted bread with turkey & ham smothered in a homemade cheese sauce and topped with a fresh slice of tomato and several strips of bacon. It was toasty, warm, and delicious. So glad I ordered it. The salad was fresh and arrived with crackers, lots of grated cheddar cheese and a dish of dressing on the side. Their desserts were freshly made and looked great. We took 1 piece of Pineapple Upside Down Cake and 1 piece of German Chocolate Cake to go. The food was homemade, tasty, and plentiful. It's exactly what you want from a local diner. The service was excellent and the decorations made the restaurant feel cozy and casual. This restaurant serves good food at a fair price, and I look forward to returning soon.

We have been to this restaurant four or five times since we bought the property down the street from it. We and our guests staying at our Airbnb agree that this place is amazing. You have to try their catfish!! It does not disappoint.

Best small town diner I've eaten at, food and service great! If you want terrific home cooking at a good price, stop in, it's just a short distance from I-65. No signs on interstate but Google it, you won't be sorry!

Our post-spelunking meal was great. Down-home, home-made breakfast, main dish, and dessert options along with a great cup of coffee hit the spot for our crew of 11. Sheila ranks up there as one of the best servers ever.

Walk in & seat yourself. Good service, down home cookin'. Order off the menu or from the specials board. Nothing fancy, just your local diner where most everybody knows each other & are welcoming to newcomers. Don't forget dessert! They are AMAZING!
