Is this place closed for good?I live in Michigan and visited KY in early 2021 to check out a wedding venue. It was SO GOOD we decided to have BBQ at the wedding and see if this place would cater. BUT now the phone number isn't working and there is no way for me to go there ahead of time living so far away.BIG TIME BUMMER

While passing through Pikeville for this Labor Day weekend, I wanted some BBQ. Came across your restaurant via Google. Went to go eat about 6 PM and doors were locked and lights turned off. Hours on door and Google stated you were open. Even trying calling your number just to get “this number has not setup voicemail”.Only “positive” for you was your competitor, down the road were closed too. They had their lights on and marque so bright, it could land an airplane. We had to settle for some Slim Chickens. But, I wanted my wife to eventually try them since I first had them in Mississippi a few months ago.If you are not going to be open whenall that you have says otherwise, update your posted hours on them services.

Some of the best bbq and sides I’ve ever had! Drinks and service was just as good. Will be our new spot when we are riding through Pikeville for sure!

Great food and service . I had the Smoked Brisket Sandwich with a side of Mac n Cheese. A pitcher of Michelob Ultra and Pistachio Cake for dessert . Savannah was my server. I enjoyed it very much and will be back !!

I'll definitely be going back.(before the edit...after the edit I will still likely go back to give another try because it looks like a nice place)I got a 2 meat platter for takeout. The brisket is very soft and very good seasoning, didn't need bbq, but the bbq was tasty, so I had a little with and a little without. I also had a quarter rack, and that fell right off and was also very soft. Also didn't need bbq, even less so than brisket. I wish the brisket and ribs were hotter temperature wise, but they weren't undercooked; both were completely cooked, just not very hot. The Mac n cheese was great. The sweet potato fries weren't very crispy and a little undercooked, but the sugar cinnamon butter was really good with them. They forgot plastic ware and napkins(or the expectation is to ask, idk). They have a really good menu, too. Dog friendly on the patio. One of the larger beer menus in Pikeville.Edit: it's about 4 hours later @2am, woke up nauseous, not sure how bad but maybe a little food poisoning ? hopefully not too bad and can rest it off. Might've just been really salty without a drink.

Wow! What a disappointment! I normally don't write bad reviews. I typically only review a place that is really good. But, I wish someone would have told me not to waste my money here. Our bill was $70. We ordered cheese fries, and fried green tomatoes. My husband had the open faced brisket. My Daughter had a grilled cheese. My little boy and I split the 2- 4oz. Filets with Mac and cheese and a salad. Let's just say the only thing good about our dinner was the Mac and cheese. We ate the cheese fries cause we were starved. (The menu said It was supposed to have ranch with it. So we asked for it, then they charged it to our bill). They were skinny fries, with nacho cheese on them and bacon bits out of a pack. The fries green tomatoes were frozen ones. Definitely not homemade. My husbands gravy tasted like water on top of instant mashed potatoes, with a very small portion of brisket. My steak was inedible. It tasted like someone rolled it in Montreal season. It had so much black pepper. That was all you could taste. My little boy, my husband and my self tried it and none of us could eat it! I ordered Italian dressing for the salad. I don't know what came out with it, it was white, and tasted horrible. I used what ranch we had left from the cheese fries for my salad. Whenever I asked them to take the ranch dressing off the check the owner came out and made a big deal about it. When I told him we didn't like any of our meal except the Mac and cheese. He acted like he didn't give a sh**. I told him about how badly seasoned my steak was and he said "some people like it like that". The prices didn't match the menu. He said "oh that was an old menu, the new menus will be here tomorrow". Poor management. Not the way to run a business. If I could have gave it no stars I would have. If you liked Pig in a Poke (the restaurant that was here before), turn around and go the other way. This is nothing like that!

We used to go here when it was called Pig In A Poke but after this new management took over it has went down hill. We ate there a couple weeks ago & it was $70 for Me, my hubby, & our 8 month old! The waiter was nice but I'm assuming he was new. The service completely sucked. We got one refill, they got our orders wrong, & we had to tell them three times to get our "Drink". It was Nothing like what the menu listed. They even snapped my debit card when they swiped it. Instead of making things right, they just apologized. This is one place marked off from our list. Sorry but for that much money for two adults is ridiculous.

It was ok. Not as good as I had hoped myself up about. Mediocre at best. Pricey

Stopped for carry out. The food was presented nicely and very large portions for the money. The ribs were fall off the bone tender and full of flavor.
