While I can’t speak specifically to the experience one might have dining in (we are from out town and haven’t dined in), I can say that if it is anything like the service we received with our catering order for my baby shower, it must be outstanding. I can’t speak highly enough of this place regarding our order today. We ordered a taco bar for 25 people and the price just couldn’t be beat. It included meat, rice, toppings, salsa, sour cream, cheese, and tortillas. They even put plates, forks, and serving spoons in a bag for us. The servers also helped my husband carry everything out to the car to load it. Everyone bragged about the food and it was really good. They made feeding 25 simple and tasty. Thank you all!

I really like el Mexicana. I worked at this restaurant under a different owner and name but I have been back to dine with the new owners and I loved it. It was just like I was walking back into my old work place for a shift. And I was so happy to see they left the artwork that was painted on the walls. I am very partial to this work because it was painted by one of our Floyd county local artist who has since passed away. He was an amazing artist and the wildest part was he was color blind. He done a lot of work in Floyd and pike county. His name was Michael Adkins and he was an entrepreneur and owner of Adkins sign in Ivel. He was my cousin and had a heart of gold. So I give El Mexicana a 10 star rating. Thanks for keeping his beautiful artwork on display for all to enjoy and keeping his memory alive

My brother and I stopped here for dinner last night and I have to tell you the food was great. The decor was so unique. The waiter was so friendly, was there when needed but not intrusive. I highly recommend going here if you ever go to Pikeville KY.
The only thing that was just ok was the rice it needed a little more something. The chips that came before dinner were warm and fresh the salsa was a little hot for me (but I’m a whimp) but mixed with the cheese sauce you can get it’s wonderful. I will return to this wonderful place whenever I’m over in Pikeville.

I love this place! It’s always been a favorite ever since I was a kid. Even tho it’s under new management, it’s still great! Queso & salsa is just right, I ordered my steak medium and it fell apart, I barely had to cut it. I love it! The staff was great, very considerate. Will be back soon!
