The food filled the hole, it was just something to eat not something to write home about. The lady that waited on us wished we were not there. It was + 15 $ for a burger that was nothing special. The bathroom was pretty clean on the up side. Would not return.

Not impressed. Had the BBQ sliders. Nothing more than microwaved JTM junk.

Great little diner. Had an egg sandwich and fried mushrooms. Very nice. Grab a quick meal and enjoy.

I was hoping for one of the old-fashioned greasy spoons one used to be able to find in downtown Pikeville. Joyce's Place is definitely not it. maybe it was just an off day? But I found the restaurant to be very mediocre on just about every aspect.

we were road tripping across the country (to go see my parents' sweet new old people retirement home and i thought it would be a good idea to bring my girlfriend with me - ya know, to see if it reeaallly works out - so we left from where i live in north idaho [in a town that claims to have the best burger on I90... and they hold up... so i know what im talking about] and went to see my family where im from in Maryland and all, and then put our feet in the Atlantic and everything because she never had been there) but on the way back we wanted to see the famous "feudal" part of Kentucky and found a much bigger than expected town here. anywhoo they got
good real burgers at a good real price.
cheese sauce on the side with the krinkle cut fries gets a bonus point :)
two people ate well and tipped hard for 30 bucks. I hope you eat well and tip hard too!

We accidentally happened upon this place on a quick stop to Pikeville. The woman who was running the place was very nice. We talked for awhile after we ate some of the best burgers we've ever had in our lives. They were cooked perfectly, our buns were also toasted perfectly . This place was an unforgettable stop on day 10 of a 14 day road trip. I can't remember most of the things that happened 2 days ago because it's all blending together, but I will absolutely remember this place!

I guess if you are not a local here you get treated poorly. I was never asked about a refill if my food was ok or correct, by a very snippy server with dark hair. I paid 15.00 and change for a piece of light bread, with beef chuck (was supposed to be roast beef), some packet gravy, and canned green beans. This place also smelled like it had a sewer problem inside as well, it smelled horrific.

Our server was not friendly although very friendly to the table of male patrons at the table near us. There was never eye contact made from our server during the interaction of us ordering food, nor no greeting to us when we came in nor when she came to our table, nor when we checked out. She also never came back to the table to ask if we needed anything like refills or dessert. She never came back to bring our check even. I ALWAYS try to find something good to say even if poor service, bad food, etcetera because I know how hard businesses are having it and how hard food service employees work but this was a tough one. The cheese sandwich was good and my husband's hamburger was good.
FYI, we live 2 hours away, never been to this restaurant this was the first time and went there after leaving the DMV across the street.

I used to work a few doors down from Joyce's and absolutely loved their food. I'm rarely in town these days but never miss a chance to grab a burger when I am. It's no lie that these are the best burgers in town.
Great service and great food! If you are lucky, you will show up on meatloaf day!!!
Loved the atmosphere and the service. While the dog could have used a little more spice in the chili it was well made and tasty.
Best hot dog in town. Family owned and operated
