I worked for River City a few years ago...I enjoyed it. If you like to cook and are good at preparing food in bulk, your feeding soldiers ultimately, it's not a bad job and you can work as much OT as you want..I was paid around 13 an hour, im sure it's more now. Don't be scared if a manager over there got a little command in their voice...they rally their troops and it feels right in that environment.
Ricki is VERY RUDE and unprofessional.
Great company. I wish I would have never relocated. They are most definitely recommendable.
Being prior service myself I enjoy the work environment and the people. Most important taking care of our troops
Not like it once was

A place of employment
I worked here last year (summer of 2018) for 3 months. This company is okay to work at. It's just physical labor (sweeping, mopping, cooking, etc)... The pay is decent for the low income area. A lot of drama. A lot of work. Simply working hard will get you very far in this job. Below is an in depth review of this company.I'll start with the hiring process. There is no interview. They do a background check and then hire you. This job is a real "eye opener." Your coworkers will come from all sorts of life. Some are nice, some are very rude, and some are silent. It seems that there is some new sort of drama everyday, but if you don't get involved, it's funny to watch lol. Alot of the people there smoke. It's crazy lol. There have been several reports of 'not receiving pay.' I had to deal with this. I think this is because they hire so many people and it all gets screwed up in the first month but after that you should be fine. You do not recieve any pay until after 1 month of working, because they hold your first cheque until the 2nd pay period (1 month of working). Then they pay your last 2 weeks of pay 2 weeks after you quit (you end up getting all your money, I just think it's so that you have another cheque while you're looking for another job). I had to talk to the office to get my hours back, so keep a log of all hours you work. The people in the office are very nice, they just get stressed out after a while of people being rude to them. If you treat them with respect, they'll do the same to you.If you show initiative and you work hard your first 2 or 3 days, you will gain everyone's respect. If you do not, they will blow you off. Be as friendly as you can to everyone, but don't try to join any specific clique. Just do your job and talk to everyone. Everyone there has a story. Everyone... I had two different managers (1 good, 1 bad/rude) and 1 awesome shift leader. It seems like most of the managers of buildings tend to blow off DFAs and low cooks rather than talk to them. If you want to work alot of hours, it's easy. I worked like 51 hrs a week and got payed over 1000 each paycheck (every 2 weeks).
They put me to work fast.
Never been here. What's up with that, Google?
