What a wonderful gem in the countryside. A taste of France and Italy. Relaxing ambience, superb food, top notch service. Dining on the patio was lovely overlooking the vast fields and vineyard. We’ll be back & have already recommended to our friends!
Plan your getaway now! We love eating at Farmer and Frenchman but we love staying there even more! We stayed for the first time for a two night getaway for our anniversary and it couldn’t have been any better! We at dinner in the restaurant both nights of our stay with amazing food and service. The service is just as great for the accommodations and making sure we were taken well care of for our two night stay. The breakfast we preordered arrived around 9:00 and was AMAZING! Do yourself a favor and make that part of your stay. Also make sure to stroll around the property. We loved walking around the farm and enjoying a beautiful sunny day. We even picked some wild mulberries along the trail! Katy made sure our stay was perfect and was there to answer questions and Hubert made sure our dining experiences were top notch!
Food - fantastic and perfect
Wine - very tasty and a huge selection
Service - This was the only negative to the entire experience. We didn't get regular checkups, to the point other wait staff in other sections would notice and have check on us.
Let me be clear, we will absolutely be going again and if it's flawless the next time I will update and gladly bump up again.
To be even more clear the food is so good, even if the service was subpar each time, we would still semi regularly go.
Visited for a birthday luncheon. Service was very good and the food was delicious. I personally had the Eggplant Parmesan. We were a party of 6 and everyone enjoyed their meal. The setting is lovely and both indoor and outdoor dining is offered. I would highly recommend The Farmer and Frenchman for all occasions.
Over priced for mediocre food!
The best fine dining restaurant around!! The service, the food, and the atmosphere is always amazing and done perfectly. Will never be able to say enough about this place... greatful to have it so close to home!![
Farmer & Frenchman has absolutely delicious pairings and great wine. The grapes aren't my favorite as they must be resilient to the weather in our area, but everything really is top notch. Me and my girlfriend even talked to the owners to learn their story. I will say I didn't like the ribeye ONLY because I was taking a risk on the cut (I typically order leaner meats). It was undercooked BUT they offered to fix it immediately. My girlfriend ate on it for a few days as she prefers medium rare anyways. They were very accommodating when we arrived early. Let us complete a wine tasting then was seated when we were ready. I liked that their charcuterie board had things I've never tried! The arancini in lobster cream was so good! Highly recommend if you're in the area to very least try the wine and get a charcuterie board. Only negative was wait time on the food, but it was a packed house and you could see the kitchen preparing everything fresh! Only took 2 photos as i was enjoying my date with my significant other.
They have a very unique menu!
Also, very tasty 😋
It's a little bit out in the country, but the atmosphere it creates is something unique to the area. Food is always amazing, from appetizer to dessert. You can taste the made in house freshness. The wine is also fantastic, along with dessert wines they have wonderful semi-dry/dry wines.
We recently ate here for our anniversary. The food was delicious. The service was outstanding. Terrie was an excellent server. The owner came to the table r check on things. My husband say the Tommy Boy pizza is the best he’s ever had. The chicken parm was probably the best I’ve had. We try to get her several times a year.

A great place for a special occasion. Good wine selection. Amazing food, different from everyday places. Saturday for lunch seems like a good time to walk in and receive service.
Good wine!
Excellent food and service from our waiter, Dylon. The F&F Reisling was light and perfectly sweet!
It's a nice setting and the lights this time of year were nice (Christmas time). I got the beef bourguignon and my wife got the chicken parmesan. The beef was good, nicely cooked, if a bit too salty, but the lack of veggies and sauce I'm accustomed to in a BB stew (ala Julia Childs) was a little disappointing. My wife's chicken was good but not outstanding. We would come back but given the prices (I think you pay for the location and atmosphere), probably not. Hence the 3-star rating.
The servers are wonderful. And the food is fantastic
