Everything is good.
1st time here, the workers are friendly and the food is great!! Definitely will be back
Floor was greasy, so my chair was sliding. To be fair, it was wet from rain, but the chair wasn't sliding from water. It was from grease on the floor. The catfish and greens were good. The Pinto beans were watered down. One of the two hush puppies were cold to the point I think they were taken out of the fridge, and the cook forgot to warm them up in the microwave, which makes them hard. So, the hush puppies were not fresh at all. The cornbread was cold corn fritters. Also, it's not fresh. Our waitress seemed overwhelmed, but there was one waitress helping out all the other waitresses. She was working so hard she was drenched in sweat, which was not appetizing either. I think I came in a very busy night. I doubt they gave their best impression. I may give it one more try sometime to see if tonight was a fluke. The owner who was running the cash register seemed like a very nice man, and I enjoyed his conversation.

me and my family are at coes this weekend for the first time. and the fish was the best fish I have ever ate but the service was even better. her name was Sabrin and she was the sweetest, attentive ,caring, waitress that I have ever had in all my years going to restaurants...so I hope to see her again and I hope to eat some more of that great catfish and slaw I have ever ate
We really enjoyed the Catfish. Certainly planning to come back again in the future

The last time I was here was in the early 80's. The food is exactly as I remember it!
I never thought the fried fish was catfish, I figured it was cod or a type of whitefish. It is the cleanest tasting catfish I have ever had!
I took the family there recently and the atmosphere was as country as ever!

Should have took the hint when
The SWEET TEA WAS AWFUL,
And said Check please!
I'm NOT a Add salt or pepper type of person nor catsup American Fries/ fried potatoes was mush was NOT a good experience.
Mac& cheese was mush too and like potatoes had to add salt n pepper made no difference.i didn't finish either one.
Traded my Tea in and I should've kept the Sweet TEA ?
Tarter sauce saved my catfish for ME.
I'm A Big dessert person,
I didn't get pie for if I would have gotten it and it was any comparison to my dinner I would have lost it 4Sho!
Paid money for food
Wish I liked one thing!
If I could have given 0, I would have.
Paid 50$ for 3 people
None was satisfied

Not sure who all has been eating at Coe’s Steakhouse in Russell Springs. But if you have, do you have any taste buds left? That place was terrible. Pops and the wife both had Catfish that was bad because pops almost puked from one bite. And this man loves fried fish. Everything was unseasoned but seasoning couldn’t save it.
I had a burger called the Smithburger that tasted like powdered latex gloves. The only thing edible was the side of Cajun fries I had. Even the drinks were nasty. Wife and I both started with sweet tea that wasn’t even brewed. They said it came from a carton. (It didn’t taste remotely like tea)
Then I got a Ski and she got Dr Pepper which didn’t taste like Dr Pepper. My ski tasted like a mix between mtn dew and mellow yellow but watery. The cups were gross and not cleaned well. Condensation is clear not white as paint that smears when you wipe it.
The waitress was nice but anytime we requested anything she would go off and be gone 10 minutes then I’d catch her running the register.
I had to get up and request things from other staff that wasn’t doing anything but standing around.
Believe me. I wanted to give this place a shot because 10 years ago it was the best place to eat but now I wouldn’t even feed my dog the stuff that comes out of this place.
Also we had the hardest time getting Pops in there because the place isn’t wheelchair accessible.

The service was really good, but the food was just meh. Only one steak on the menu (ribeye), which I thought was odd for a place with 'steak house' in the name.
Fries were cold. Garlic butter was not melted and probably wasn't butter. Pinto beans had a chuck of beef(?) in the runny water they stewed in.
Also, the floor was incredibly slick throughout the restaurant, like the whole had been mopped with bowling lane oil.
If I lived here, I'd go back, but as a visitor to the area, I wished I'd tried something different. I'm not sure how this place got a 4.7/5 rating.

This is Robert Frausto, a former employee of Coe's Steakhouse, also known as "the Phenomenal 1" lol there, and now at Betty's Ok country cooking. I stopped in to get a Smith burger and Cajun fries, and it was hands down the best burger and fries anywhere in the state. It was good to see old faces, and new faces. Very friendly staff, great service, great prices, and a great place to eat. Five stars for sure, keep up the great work guys. God bless y'all!
