My husband and I ate there for the first and last time today. The food was tasteless and lukewarm. The BBQ and ribs appeared to be straight out of a microwave with the BBQ having an awkward taste. The fried pies on the counter at checkout were dried up and some were seriously overcooked and small. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone for the bland and mediocre food they serve! Save your hard earned money!
Food came out just warm, not hot, but we did get it about 1 min after ordering. The building made up for the food not being hot though. it was flaming hot in there. Our food got hotter just sitting on the table while we ate and sweat. The wait staff all sit at a table with a large fan (the only one) pointed at them. No sharing that breeze with your customers, no sir! Overall not terrible, but not great. had to go get my own BBQ sauce. They don't offer it when you order BBQ apparently. The thing that will keep me from returning though was unrelated. The menu says they give a 5% discount for paying cash, so I used my carefully hoarded cash to pay. The cashier rang me out and I looked at the bill and she told me I got a 3% discount for using cash. I told her that the menu said it was a 5% discount and she literally laughed in my face and shook her head like I was trying to screw them and not the other way around. I don't need that kind of bull in my life. Don't offer something, then not deliver. No one made you offer the discount in plain sight on the menu. I remember this place being packed at dinner time in years past. Guess I know now why there was only 2 other tables occupied.
This place has THE BEST BarBQue on the planet, heck yeah!!!🥰😍🤗😝😛😜🤪😊😁😍
I'm sorry, but I do not understand the hype around this place or why it has 4.5 stars. :(
The ribs tasted like crockpot ribs with way too much powdered seasoning on top that turned into a paste, but somehow still did not have much flavor. I've also never had ribs with so much cartilage as these. Couldn't hardly chew for having to spit out so much cartilage.
I'm pretty sure the roll was just a store-bought frozen Sister Schuberts roll.
The potato salad had soooo much mustard, it was very overpowering and sour.
The coleslaw and baked beans were good!
Fried pickles were AWESOME! Crunchy and hot with plenty of ranch.
I went there on Monday for a pickup order drive thru, the food was cold accept for fried dill pickles and the corn nuggets was so hard they had to be thrown away no silverware or napkins in bag and I was traveling thru. 21.50 for a plate lunch and fried dill pickles that I couldn’t even eat plate lunch. Hopefully y’all can do better and service better.
It was awesome food and service .
Great BBQ. The fried okra was a pleasant surprise. Some of the best I've had in a long while. We also tried the fried pies. Apple and peach. Very yummy! A nice ending to our meal.
Good food great service.
We use drive through
This was our 1st visit. I had the barbecue plate with chopped barbecue,
on cornbread with coleslaw and cucumber salad sides, my husband had the ribs, cabbage, and black eyed peas. Everything was excellent! Can’t wait to go back and try their other menu items. The service was super and they totally reflected true southern hospitality.

Finally after driving past the restaurant my family and I decided to try it out. Went in and it was a sit yourself style which we had not been posted. We sat down and the wait was not long which can be a good sign or bad. In that case it was bad. The chicken was dry and all the sides tasted like they came out of a can. Especially the apples, and beans. Not even the good bush beans. The catfish was really good though.
The fried apples tasted like metal, as though from a can. Hamburger was plain and bland. My brothers catfish was undercooked. My mother's beans, potato salad, and macaroni salad were bland and tasted like they were store bought.
This was absolutely the worst tasting BBQ I've ever endured. We got the platter with pork, some kind of stupid shaved fatty beef and ribs in a horrible tasting bbq sauce. It was $17.95 and was the worst waste of money in my lifetime. The pulled pork tasted like lighter fluid, the beef was fatty and tough, the ribs were smothered in a gross red bbq sauce with a horrible flavor. They have rave reviews and I'm thinking, the reviews are coming from family and friends bc this is hands down the worst bbq restaurant Ive ever been too. Again, tasted like lighter fluid and liquid smoked cooked in the oven.. If this is what they call bbq I'm out.. Such a disgrace to all the wonderful people who know BBQ. If they message me and sent me a gift certificate to come eat there for free, I would totally decline. Save your gas and money and go to a real BBQ place.. This is a JOKE.
Family owned and ran. Delicious 😋
Eat here often. Lunch and occasionally supper. They have many food options. Service is hit or miss, but typically good.
