My husband and I ate there for the first and last time today. The food was tasteless and lukewarm. The BBQ and ribs appeared to be straight out of a microwave with the BBQ having an awkward taste. The fried pies on the counter at checkout were dried up and some were seriously overcooked and small. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone for the bland and mediocre food they serve! Save your hard earned money!
Food came out just warm, not hot, but we did get it about 1 min after ordering. The building made up for the food not being hot though. it was flaming hot in there. Our food got hotter just sitting on the table while we ate and sweat. The wait staff all sit at a table with a large fan (the only one) pointed at them. No sharing that breeze with your customers, no sir! Overall not terrible, but not great. had to go get my own BBQ sauce. They don't offer it when you order BBQ apparently. The thing that will keep me from returning though was unrelated. The menu says they give a 5% discount for paying cash, so I used my carefully hoarded cash to pay. The cashier rang me out and I looked at the bill and she told me I got a 3% discount for using cash. I told her that the menu said it was a 5% discount and she literally laughed in my face and shook her head like I was trying to screw them and not the other way around. I don't need that kind of bull in my life. Don't offer something, then not deliver. No one made you offer the discount in plain sight on the menu. I remember this place being packed at dinner time in years past. Guess I know now why there was only 2 other tables occupied.
I went there on Monday for a pickup order drive thru, the food was cold accept for fried dill pickles and the corn nuggets was so hard they had to be thrown away no silverware or napkins in bag and I was traveling thru. 21.50 for a plate lunch and fried dill pickles that I couldn’t even eat plate lunch. Hopefully y’all can do better and service better.
Great food, family friendly atmosphere

I LOVE Roy’s Bar-B-Que! The food was amazing and exactly what we were looking for! It feels like home when you’re in there. The workers are so welcoming, kind, and truly some of the best people you’ll ever meet! If you’re in the area, please take a visit!!

This is the absolute best barbecue in, approximately, anywhere. I grew up in Russellville, and one of the pillars of my childhood was having Roy's Barbecue on a good hot summer day.
