Tokyo Japanese Restaurant

Not really Japanese food, which you will not find in KY. It's like the Chinese food in Kentucky and the Italian food and the Mexican food. It's all American versions and it is all garbage. The restaurants have all tried to adjust their cooking to local taste and apparently y'all get what you get. But that's fine because local cuisine is so amazing and brown and fried and tastes of sugar and salt.

The best burgers I've ever had in my long life was in Japan. Hot dog in Austria. Apple pie in Germany. Pizza Italy obviously. Reuben and bagels, Canada. American breakfast, England og). Military life has a few perks. You get the idea.

So don't blame these restaurants if you don't like the food blame yourselves.

Did Phone order. Though the restaurant was busy our order was ready for pickup and when I got it home it was still hot. 3rd good experience in a row! Attaboy Tokyo...

When I walked in on a Saturday night and it was empty, should have been my clue to leave. Staff was very nice and entertaining.the food however... started with seaweed salad. Large bowl of lettace- iceberg-yuk. With a topping of seaweed. This is not what I have ever received anywhere else. Taste was good. Sashimi dinner. 5 pieces of the very large and irregular shaped/cut fish were still frozen. The last piece i bit first before wasabi was fishy tasting... I didn't eat that. Will not go back.

Sushi platter my wife got was pretty decent but my hibachi was completely flavorless and until today I have never had a place mess up meso soup . Had very little flavor but what it did have was not the way it should be.. my mountain dew was watered down and no ice which is odd.. had to ask for clean soy sauce dipping plate too

So this was our first time ever eating here as a family tonight the sushi was really great. The atmosphere was really nice. The food on the plate looked great when it came out, but it was not hot. It was really on the cool side so to me a one star is probably the best I could do. I will never go back here and eat again.

Avg Japanese food. Okay service. Inside is nicish. Nothing served fast. Sesame chicken a little to hard,and crunchy but ok. Side rice was bland without the yum yum sauce. Spring roll was inedible. I like supporting local but restaurant could be better

By far the worst spicy Tuna roll I've ever had the displeasure of placing in my mouth.
Presentation was poor I spit the bit I had in my mouth and sent the rest back. I left that restaurant without eating and had to pay full price for the bad sushi.
I have had sushi in several states and nothing can compare to Florida yet this place made such bad spicy tuna roll it was like eating tuna from a can spiced up and put in some seaweed and rice.

Poor service from the server and my shrimp in the shrimp lo mein was rubbery, when I ask for a manger the waitress said no they would not talk to you. I ask for it to be taken off my bill since I could not eat it, but they would not do it.

Sushi rolls not a best I ever eaten. Almost tasteless. Tuna in it very hard and not pleasant. Order the miso soup,was barely warm.
Probably won't come back...
