Unsanitary Practices at Subway in Shepherdsville?
I recently visited the Subway connected to the Loves in Shepherdsville, and unfortunately, it was one of the most disappointing and unsanitary experiences I've ever had at a fast food restaurant.
When I went in, everything seemed fine at first. I ordered a tuna sandwich and watched as the employee began preparing it. However, things quickly took a turn for the worse. The employee took off his glasses using the gloves he was wearing to prepare my food, then put his glasses back on, touching them with his bare hands. He also wiped his forehead with his pinky fingers and then resumed making my sandwich without changing his gloves. To top it off, when a tomato slice fell off the sandwich onto the prep board, he picked it up and placed it back on the sandwich.
I was pretty disgusted by what I saw, but I tried to give it a chance and took a couple of bites. However, I couldn’t shake the feeling of how unsanitary the whole situation was, and I ended up throwing the sandwich away. It’s not even about the money; it’s about the fact that basic hygiene wasn’t observed, and that’s something that’s critical in a place where food is being prepared and served.
I hope that the management takes this seriously and improves the training and practices of their staff. Food safety should always be a top priority, and this experience fell far short of that standard.

Traveling through with my family and decided to stop here and the workers were so rude they were literally making grimaces at us and making us feel beyond uncomfortable. The food was great

Fun fact: The restaurant was called “Pete's Super Submarines” because submarine sandwiches were the menu specialty. In 1966 DeLuca and Buck incorporated a company called Doctor's Associates. DeLuca later identified the doctor as Buck and the associate as himself.

Just be careful going in late. Since this one's 24 hours I'm not sure when they swap everything out and put new ingredients in, or close the containers so the meats not just sitting out for hours. I went in and got a couple sandwiches late at night. The meatball container had a two day old date on it, hopefully haven't been sitting there all day and possibly yesterday. The sandwiches I got the meat looked like it was like folding up on the edges once he put it on my sandwich, like it's just been sitting there for awhile. Only one person working also, I was ready to check out after he made my sandwiches. And instead of just cashing me out he went ahead and made the guy after mes sandwiches too so I was there just waiting for my soggy meat sandwich.

Ok so I have always had a good experience with this place but tonight was a disappointment. I always get a 6inch subway club and this kid that started to make my sandwich grabbed a random piece of bread and said it was 6 inches and it was not….. Boy been lying to himself his whole life couldn’t even fit 2 pieces of cheese on it… I know what 6inches is used a ruler plenty of times….. He has been lying to girls his whole life…
Very good food and not very expensive

Turkey sandwich good
The employees were friendly. The food was okay. I don't understand how a Subway, even an individually owned, can opt out of participating in the rewards programs. If it's a Subway, they should all have to participate in my opinion.
sent my daughter in to get her a sandwich and got more than that. she ordered her sandwich and while the girl behind the counter was getting the bread out of the oven she was coughing on it. this is not the first time something like this has happened. this store frequently hires sickly people. for good and healthy service visit the subway on hwy44 or the one at exit 121. I will never stop at or recommend this store again.
