This was my first time visiting after a friend recommended it, and it was so-so. As you can see from the image, six pieces of the pizza only had tomato sauce on them, and the crust was really wide. Nobody wants to eat plain crust or crust with tomato sauce, so that was disappointing. The part in the middle with the cheese on it was good, so you know it has potential. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt and assume the cook wasn’t at his best. Oh, and he also made a joke about coughing loudly behind the counter, and nobody wants to hear a cook coughing like that while their food is being made.
UPDATE 1: I don’t see a way here to respond to the owner, but I left your restaurant right around 4pm on Friday, July 26, 2024.
UPDATE 2: My friends had me come back here twice since I wrote this review, and while the pizzas have always been inconsistent, this one that I shared photos of was the worst. They taste good, but I think it’s fair to say that the quality is inconsistent.

Great food, great service, friendly staff. Lived in the area for a couple of years and somehow never ate here… will certainly be eating here a lot more in the future!

Great pizza and sub restaurant. Food is made to order and cooked on grill or nice pizza ovens. Staff are friendly and courteous. JT's has the best chicken wings size compared to price for 8 wings in all of Shelby County.

Very friendly people! Great food! While stuck in traffic, my companions and I decided to stop in. Making what would've been a stressful experience a pleasant one.

This was the absolute best chicken bacon ranch pizza I have ever eaten. I am from Ohio, traveling for business. I most definitely will come back to this pizza place if I am in the area again!

Came here for the first time after seeing their post about a Domino's moving in next door so we could support local! First things first, the food was absolutely spectacular. As a self professed pizza connoisseur, you can tell this establishment uses top quality ingredients. Something I can't say about many places nowadays!
Now for the bad... It took 50 mins from the time I got my salad to the time our pizza came out. The place wasn't that busy when we ordered, and several large parties came in after us a few of which got their food before us. We were apologized to and told that somehow the kitchen had never even seen our order.
At some point I had asked the waitress for a small discount (nothing major, I know quality ingredients aren't cheap) and she literally chuckled and walked away. Got the bill, and no discount.
We still payed the bill and tipped and will also be back to try again hoping this was truly just a one off. Just a little disappointed is all.

Fantastic local pizza place, but don’t sleep on the subs either! Truly can’t go wrong for a pint and a bite to eat. Won’t break the wallet and welcoming staff and ownership. Worth spending your hard earned money here.
JTs has been a favorite spot to grab a bite to eat since I was a kid. Great quality for decades!
Food was good and the lunch special price was very reasonable.

Ordered well done, and the crust was black and soggy. Pizza crust is supposed to be flaky, not soggy.

My son and I stopped in for a bite and we both ordered subs. My son ordered the Italian and I ordered the Mattboli. We both got fountain drinks and the pickle and bag of Lays plain chips.
The subs were FANTASTIC! My son truly enjoyed his Italian sub and the Mattboli was phenomenal for being something I have never tried before. Both subs were warmed, the hoagie buns were firm on the outside soft on the inside and the garlic seasoning on top was just right. The Mattboli had a little heat which was exactly why I ordered it. The vegetables were crisp and tasted fresh.
The waitress was friendly, polite and attentive checking to make sure the food was good and if we wanted or needed anything else. She was prompt with the bill and the change afterwards which I told her to keep.
Over all great experience and I look forward to trying their pizza, if it is anything like their subs I am sure I there pizza will be great also.

Every table we went to sit at was dirty, ordered a hot sub, it was cold, my son ordered a personal pizza, and that was hot and good.

My wife and I are through Simpsonville a couple of times a year and have not been overjoyed with the options for dinner. We ate bagged salads once because we didn't know about JT's.We had a pizza and a couple of salads as well as a pitcher of beer. (It's a long way to Richmond, Virginia) We read the reviews and decided to go for a pizza; it had to be better than anything else at this exit. It is! We make our own pizza most of the time but occasionally will patronize local joints. Most are good - some are not - but JT's is as good as we've had. It's one of only two that are better than our own, in my not-so-humble opinion. We will be back whenever we are in town. I would like to know his technique for making the dough so crisp/tender.
