Our Best is a little out of the way but worth the journey. Usually have $25 ribeyes grilled to perfection, but other mains are very good. Love the corn cakes with the steak, all sides have the home-cooked flavors. And you must try the lime jello salad to start. Another thing I will mention: on last visit a small group of adult diners who had eaten at Our Best a year prior returned while competing at a nearby 4H or similar event. When they were ready to settle up, waitress informed them their meals were on the house. I felt very privileged to witness, and it leaves an indelible impression.

Had a super lunch today with family at Our Best Restaurant. Service was excellent, atmosphere homey, food delicious, price reasonable for huge portions of delicious selections. I had a very large thick fried pork chop, mashed potatoes and gravy, creamy Cole slaw and unique fried cornbread! Everyone loved their food. Big slice of coconut cream pie for dessert…it was great too! Kind of in the middle of nowhere, but not far off of I-71 near La Grange Ky. Can’t go wrong with anything on their menu!

My sister took me there last week. Nice looking building on the outside. Going through the door was like a step through time. Our modern day facade faded away to the 1800's. Barn structure in appearance with dim lighting ( perfect for a relaxing meal). Pretty crowded when we arrived and hostess found us a little out of the way table. Table didn't wobble and chairs were solid ( how often has that ruined a meal)? Roast beef sandwich was huge. We totally enjoyed ourselves. Our server was courteous and efficient. I regret I forgot her name. I'll get it next time. Place reminded me of Cracker Barrel with all the antiques but instead of being overhead were on the walls and shelf's. Didn't worry about dust falling in the food. We didn't dine in the main room so I don't know if the walls were saturated with TVs. Hope not. Spacing between tables was adequate to move around without bumping into people sitting down. Hope to have the same good experience tomorrow when I take my wife there.

We were disappointed in the Chicken Froed steak and the hot beef sandwich. The fried green tomatoes and fried okra were good. I liked the cornbread but my companion did not.

Long time patron but tecent visit was dissapointed primarily with the cornbread pancakes..They were tasteless and dry..Always were a standout addition but failed miserably last evening..sorry but will still go back ..

I visited Our Best on August 2, 2025. There was quite a wait to get seated for dinner, but expected such. When we were seated , the bad started. It took a very long time for a waitress to even approach us. To get water and ice tea, another long wait. Finally came to take order, but then extremely long for food to come. When it did, we had no silverware. Had to go to kitchen to ask for some as she didn't check to see if we needed anything. My brother's pork chop was so overcooked and thin, that he couldn't eat it. My sister-in-law's wasn't much better. The pinto beans weren't hot, just warm. My Hot Roast Beef was just warm and rather bland. The cornbread pancakes weren't brought, we had to ask for them. Almost finished eating before they were brought. We ordered cobblers to go and they were very small for $9. each. While we were still eating, they starting sweeping the floor and putting things away. The waitress we had should find a new field as she doesn't know a thing about checking on your customers to make sure all is good or if they need anything. This won't hurt this restaurant at all because it is always busy, but at least I won't have to suffer through another dinner getting awful service and apparently, leftovers. You could tell the employees were in a hurry to get going home.

I enjoy Our Best Restaurant frequently and have always had a great experience. The down home cooking is great, desserts and wonderful. Service is the best. Last week I went with 48 friends from our church's senior group. We did have reservations -- but we were all seated and feed and on our way home in about an hour. I heard no complaints from anyone. I recommend you take the time to go a little out of your way to visit Our Best Restaurant.
