Great service, excellent coffee and amazing food! Their breakfast is absolutely delicious and lunch is even better! We love that they sell a local Kentucky coffee Baxter's! I highly recommend the burrito for breakfast with egg, sausage and lots of tasty Gouda cheese! Their potatoes served with breakfast are cooked perfectly!

I was very tired and hungry and decided to get the delicious Hot Brown! I also got a sample portion of their homemade potato chips, with Gouda cheese dipping sauce and way better than average ranch dressing. I wound up with too much food and bought part of it home, but that didn't stop me from getting an order of peach cobbler with ice cream on the side. Atmosphere, presentation, service, and quality of food is fantastic.I definitely recommend that folks go support this great local eatery!Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant itself is accessible, I'm not sure about the restroom. They're also seems to be adequate space for someone to maneuver their wheelchair since the tables are not tightly packed.

My first time in, I already felt back in time before the World post 911. So friendly, inviting... everyone in Staff so filed with a humbled spirit. They were Truly happy to see a walk in. The Menu, clean...easy to follow. The food, so fresh and crafted with love....the price, perfect per portion. I love paying for it and feeling full...still taking a bit of it with me.A place I could eat at every day and never get bored

This place is one of the big reasons I keep going back to Stanford. While their breakfast menu isn't expansive, they are good at what they do.I would call myself a bit of a biscuits and gravy connoisseur, and these are in my top 5 best ever. I'm talking about that fluffy biscuit that gives your mouth that feel of a warm hug your tongue has been missing. And that gravy, don't worry about your heart health, that gravy makes you heart flutter like first date and you'll love it the whole way through. Top it all off with some black coffee and that southern hospitality service that will make you wonder why Starbucks is even in business.

I’m not one to write Google reviews and I’m fairly certain this is my first one but this establishment is absolutely deserving of the high praise and I’ve been meaning to write a review for quite some time now. This is without a doubt my favorite restaurant that I’ve been to here in Kentucky, and I believe you’d be hard pressed to find another restaurant that offers the same level of service, food and care that the Bluebird does. The servers treat you like a regular whether it’s your first time going or your first time in months and they treat you as family. Always greeting you with a smile and they make you feel like a high profile guest with how good the table service is.Honestly, I don’t think that I possess the words to describe just how good the food is. I’ve made it a point to order something different every time that I’ve went and there hasn’t been a dish yet that hasn’t amazed me. Although, the pork belly bites are a particular favorite.Getting to see the kitchen staff prepare the food is always a treat. They always have a presence of absolute professionalism and the speed of which they get a dish out is insane. The only thing that I’m left wanting after leaving, is a Bluebird cookbook. I’ve made it a point to introduce as many people as I can to the Bluebird and they always echo sentiments similar to mine. If the review doesn’t lay it out well enough, this is an absolute must visit.

Breakfast Portion size is small. Only 2 peirce of bacon and small eggs. They don't serve butter for pancakes. Just syrup. Value wise you can do better at a cracker barrel or Dennys. Coffee was good. Nobody can screw up Breakfast.

Good, but the egg sandwich needs more umph. There were 17 of us having lunch together. The consensus was that the hamburger is excellent, the omelette is great, the fish tacos are good, the pulled pork sandwich is OK, and the egg salad sandwich is a nice idea, but needs more spice. Service was excellent and the ambience is nice. We concluded that this was a nice old-fashioned luncheonette and enjoyed our time there. We also appreciate that the meat comes from Marksberry Farms. Nice to have original Henry Faulkner's on the walls as well! We combined this with a visit to the brand, new glass, national Museum, in Danville, and a visit to Soaps and Such across the street from the Bluebird Café. Makes for a very nice outing from Lexington Kentucky.
