Applebee's Grill + Bar

Ok second chances. We went to Applebee's about a month ago. I swore that I wasn't going to be complaining and I would give them a chance. My server was polite but she was a little more focused on keeping my husband's drinks full. Not once asked if I needed a refill. My mashed potatoes were cold in the center, so I know they had scooped them into my plate and then tossed it in a microwave. I ordered a salad and asked if they could leave off the croutons. I ended up with croutons. I ordered some chicken strips that were not edible. They were burnt on the edges and made it hard to even chew. I ended up requesting a to go box to go home. You guessed it. I fed the stray cats on the farm. The evening that I was there it appeared that they were training new employees and new servers. It was very cold outside. I had intentionally asked for the warmest spot in the restaurant to sit. We if that's the warmest location I am totally disappointed. Each and every employee ran out the side door for a cigarette break with your foot inside the door consistently one by one every 5 minutes. I ended up with pneumonia from the cold air taking my breath. I was told not to say anything about it because then it would appear that I was being rude. They didn't have many customers in the restaurant. Two at the bar, and another individual at a booth. I'm not that happy and I beg Winchester to get a couple decent restaurants that stay open passed 10pm that's doesn't consist of micromedo food that is scooped from the walk-in cooler to the microwave and over fried to a crisp that could potentially break a tooth.

My only problem with this restaurant is the past couple times i've been or ordered food my steak is never well done like I ask, its always bleeding which to me is disgusting. So there for I will not be going back to this Applebee's in Winchester ky.

Their 2 for 25 is an absolute lie. It was almost 60 dollars

I’m not usually impressed with Applebees, but this one is different. Our server was really kind and funny, and she also made our drinks. The food was fast coming out, tasty, and I had a great time!

Longer wait on food then expected. Then had to send half our food back. Not cooked and cold.. but I think they was some staff issues. So perhaps just a bad day for this resturant. Overall food was ok. Our server was great, perhaps next time im passing thru ill try eating here again

Listen, I love applebees anywhere else but in Winchester. I live in Winchester sadly, and normally only go to Lexington's or Richmond's. I just walked in to get food and stood there for plenty of minutes. There was one table with three people at who also hadn't gotten their food. Last time I came to applebees I placed a pick up and came after it had been made, of course. I stood there for 15 minutes because the waitress openly admitted to forgetting me, and all the other workers there would walk past me. Most of the time the food is good expect for the few occasions it hasn't been. But all your waiters and waitresses are usually mean. I had a supervisor come talk to me once because a waitress refused to give me my food all because I can't eat your jumbo shrimp and asked if I could get a half piece of chicken. I was willing to pay full price btw... and when her supervisor told her to make it, she brought our food and it wasn't even cooked. The only thing your waitresses and waiters do is charge you guys more money then just having to pay them for all the issues they cause.

First impressions were not good...A/C was out, entire restaurant smelled of rotten eggs, and our server complained about us being seated in her section before we made it to the table. The Bartender said he would take care of our table, but I guess he was busy with the 1 person at the bar. Took 10 minutes just to get our drinks and we had decided to at least try the appetizers. I chose not to eat after locating the source of the smell...an out of order stall in the Men's room that nearly made me vomit as soon as I opened the door. All together a sub-par dining experience. We whole-heartedly DO NOT recommend!!!

Good food, and this was my first time eating at Applebee's. Pleasant appnesspher and curious waitress and management!!! Really good food!!! Sincerely Richard A.Ruddle.
