So this Applebee's location has always been a hit or miss when you go. This time, when I went, the food was actually decent. Steak was a little chewy. It was definitely tougher than the ones I had ordered from before. That being said, it tasted just fine.

I'm not sure if it's all Applebee's or just this 1. But they really seem to have gone downhill. #1 The atmosphere is dark and dingy. I guess it's to hide the poor quality of the food. After 2020, the food quality and portions have gone down. Meanwhile, the prices climb higher. Anytime you call, nobody wants to answer the phone. Food is continuously getting messed up, left out, or forgotten.

Service was good, but steak with the two meals for $25 was about only 1/3 the size it shows in advertising, also missed not having baked potato anymore

Applebee's in Mt. Sterling, Ky was unable to seat two of us at about 4:45 pm on Saturday. The restaurant was about one half occupied. So we drove to Winchester, Ky Applebee's and were seated quickly, however had a long wait before a server came to our table. While waiting, we overheard two servers discussing who had to wait on either us or other tables around us. Finally a server took our order, which was from the 2 for $25 menu. It should have been served sizzling on a skillet, but was rather cold on a plate and undercooked. Then the check said 2 for 25 equals $30.00. The manager corrected the check and promised it will not be charged to our debit card. I paid the correct amount with a Master Card. Not planning another visit to Applebee's in the foreseeable future!

This place is absolute garbage. After being told it was a going to be a 20 minute wait, they forgot about us, had to ask after 40 minutes just to be sat immediately, then it took 15 minutes for our server to come by, another 15 minutes to get our drinks, and over an hour to get our food, which 1 meal was completely missing, and another was wrong. We had to call down multiple servers because ours was no where to be seen. In the 2 hours we were there we got 1 refill and that’s only because the manager, who truly didn’t care was finally brought over. I’ve never seen such horrible service, especially with how much they charge.
Service and food was good. The only thing was music was a little loud. Asked if they could turn it down and they said yes, but they turned it up instead of down. This is the second time this has happened. Last time was a year ago and hadn't been back since. Looks like won't be back at all.

I don't really care for Applebee's normally, but I went here after one of my musical preformences, and it was okay. I really liked the mozzarella sticks, and you can't go wrong with a good ol Dr Pepper.
Love the 2 for $30 option.
