Hall's is a KENTUCKY tradition. It's all about where you are in your life. For me, I have such great memories over the past 50 years at this KENTUCKY icon. Want to visit one more time before I die!!!!
The atmosphere was fantastic, and the scenic drive along the way from Lexington was a highlight. Unfortunately, we missed the beautiful fall foliage. The food was quite pricey, and the taste was average. The shrimp and grits were the best part, thanks to the fried green tomatoes. The fish and chips were a bit dry because it was halibut, and the hot brown was a hot mess. We spent around $65, including tax and tip, on our lunch.
Always a great spot for some southern food. Local for us but I recommend it to anyone passing through the area. A lot of history at the restaurant. We always visit while camping nearby at the Boonesborough state park campground. This time, we enjoyed a Sunday brunch and it was great. Service was good but they got busy really quick so the wait staff got stretched thin. If the weather is nice, sit outside to get the most of the atmosphere!
