Unpretentious little café situated right downtown ample parking friendly staff. Shrimp poor boy was tasty and had decent size shrimp. My plate of the day was OK. Nothing notable. Sizes were small on everything omelettes very small. No real complaints just doesn't stand apart , it was OK .

Our first trip to Park Rest. It's definitely an older place that has its share of regulars. The staff was wonderful and made us feel right at home. The menu is pretty straight forward (no frills). No apps or salads (which made me immediately like the place). I had the chicken fried steak w/ onion rings and the wife the hamburger steak w/ mashed potatoes and gravy. Both dishes were great. The beef used on the hamburger steak was fresh. My chicken fried steak was on the small side but delicious. The homemade gravy was excellent. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because we ordered the coconut cream pie for dessert and it was obviously store bought. I get it, small place and a lot of different flavor pies to make. They may make some fresh but not the coconut. Loved the diner feel of this local gem. I'll be back and recommend you give it a try.

Great place!! Nothing better than an old time feel cafe. We had a late breakfast and obviously the locals love the place, because it was about 10am and there were only a few tables open. The service was great, the food was great, even the other table I spoke with seemed genuinely happy. Stop by and enjoy!! Oh and get the grilled biscuit!

Absolutely delicious breakfast! We enjoyed the "Mom and Pop" feel of the place. Service was great and the biscuits, omelets, pancakes, and bacon were amazing.
