I just moved in the area and their Roast Beef PoBoys are delicious but the hours of operation is ridiculous close early on Mondays and 8:pm Tues thru Friday could at least be 9pm and Weekends should open bet you would make a chunk of change, 10:pm closing if not later
Great staff

This place was once my go-to any time I felt too lazy to cook or when I would be overwhelmed with research assignments. Sadly, I need to spend my money elsewhere. The food quality is not what it used to be.
I ordered a grilled chicken salad from the Sandwich Shop (once known as Erdey's) located in Albany, Louisiana and here is my experience...
I kindly asked the female who took my order by phone to note I did not want a lot of lettuce. She kindly repeated my order and told me the amount of time before my order would be ready for pickup. Everything is great thus far and I am satisfied. But soon my satisfaction would be turned into disappointment. Why? Whomever decided to prepare my salad completely ignored the quality of the lettuce that he or she placed in the container. Seriously?! I requested for my salad to be prepared with less lettuce not yellow/brown lettuce. To further add to my disappointment, the salad consisted of nodes and stems, not leaf blades. SMH.
Pictures included for reference.

Went for a ride on the motorcycle and stopped here with a large group. Quick service considering the size of our group.... Tried the deep fried burger for the first time, not bad!

This place is currently called Railway Cafe, and it's got a very cozy, rather nostalgic vibe to it. The servers are very polite, and the food is worth the price. I ordered the fish po'boy, and it was quite possibly the best po'boy I ever had!

Got a banana split that was Half full of a watery liquid. Charged almost $6. Then forgot whipped topping. Wouldn't suggest it again.

Roast Beef Poboy, ? best of all the places I've eaten this dish. We had gravy on the side and didn't even need it. Have plenty of napkins, messy but so yummy. Will try dine in next time.

The grilled chicken sandwich was AMAZING!!! Not dry at all & perfectly seasoned.
(For The Railway Cafe) Huge proportions. Super friendly staff. If eating there on a Friday night I would recommend calling ahead be they can get busy. Otherwise, it typically took me about 10/15 minutes to get my food during the week. Good people.

Food was absolutely delicious. I ordered ahead of time and it was ready when I got there. I ate the double bacon burger. Although it didn't come with fries or a drink, it was plenty big to fill that lunchtime hunger. Will definitely return if I want it again.
Can't comment on the atmosphere because I just picked up to go. However it did look nice and clean.
Would most definitely recommend.
