In town for a long work trip, Nonna’s is a GREAT place to come for a home cooked meal and it felt like i was sitting at home. Delicious food, excellent service and such a good value.

2 out of 3 meals the ox tails were a 5. Last visit was more a 2 or 3. Big fatty piece, several very small pieces that were too tough to eat. Looked like stew meat was added. Overall, the portion was not as big as the 1st 2 meals. Maybe this was just an off day. Definitely didn't get my $35 worth of ox tails.

Tried this for the first time Sundays! I had turkey wings, gravy, dressing, yams & greens beans with peach cobbler! It was well seasoned, great portion & it was real soul food! Can’t wait to go back. Great service, very welcoming .

I thought I posted a review back in June but I guess it didn’t go through so here it is again.- Our monthly Bayou Girls Road Trip took us to the heart of Amite, LA, today for lunch at Nonna’s Soul Food Cafe. What a wonderful experience! The buffet offers so many wonderful choices of home-style made-from-scratch cooking. Some of our favorites were the roast beef, rice and gravy, seafood lasagna, fried fish, red beans and rice, smothered squash, candied yams and peach cobbler!! Delicious!! One of the highlights of our trip was to meet & visit with Nonna, the owner and cook! This lady shows her love for God in her speech and actions. She made us feel more than welcome. We look forward to going back.
Yesterday I stopped by Nonna's and I must say the food was phenomenal! Every entrees was rich and seasoned well. It was hot and fresh! If you're looking for a good meal that is made with care. It's the place to go. It's a buffet option also. If you're ever in the Amite area, it's a must!
Some of the best food in the South. We stopped here on our way through town and had some of the best food ever, full of flavour with great family service. The ribs were honestly the best ive ever had. Thank you Nonna!
