Tried this for the first time Sundays! I had turkey wings, gravy, dressing, yams & greens beans with peach cobbler! It was well seasoned, great portion & it was real soul food! Can’t wait to go back. Great service, very welcoming .

I thought I posted a review back in June but I guess it didn’t go through so here it is again.- Our monthly Bayou Girls Road Trip took us to the heart of Amite, LA, today for lunch at Nonna’s Soul Food Cafe. What a wonderful experience! The buffet offers so many wonderful choices of home-style made-from-scratch cooking. Some of our favorites were the roast beef, rice and gravy, seafood lasagna, fried fish, red beans and rice, smothered squash, candied yams and peach cobbler!! Delicious!! One of the highlights of our trip was to meet & visit with Nonna, the owner and cook! This lady shows her love for God in her speech and actions. She made us feel more than welcome. We look forward to going back.

Yesterday I stopped by Nonna's and I must say the food was phenomenal! Every entrees was rich and seasoned well. It was hot and fresh! If you're looking for a good meal that is made with care. It's the place to go. It's a buffet option also. If you're ever in the Amite area, it's a must!
Some of the best food in the South. We stopped here on our way through town and had some of the best food ever, full of flavour with great family service. The ribs were honestly the best ive ever had. Thank you Nonna!

Miss Nonna's Soul Food Cafe is a blessing in disguise. Such delicious food! Best in Amite! Sweet and welcoming environment. We will definitely be back and will recommend this restaurant to all who ask where to eat in this town.

We got lucky and found this place on our way home to Oklahoma from NOLA and my goodness! The food was incredible and the service impeccable! Nonna was amazing to us and so welcoming. I highly recommend this place!

Just like going to grandma‘s house. Excellent food.
A diamond in the rough! Our first time here was a pleasant surprise. Found this place by chance via Google Reviews. My family and I loved the hospitality. The staff explained how the food is prepared fresh and not out of a can - everything is homemade! My favorite dishes were the lasagna and the yams. Just needed a biscuit to sop up my plate. Definitely making plans to come back! ????

This place is a hidden gem! If I could give it 10 stars, I would! We visit family often and have to take I-12 and we will be stopping every time for the buffet. It’s very well seasoned and not a thing I tried was not absolutely wonderful. The best part is it is even that much for a buffet which is a lot of seafood…under $20! 4 adults was $81 and that included drinks and the $10 tip. Can’t wait to try what is available on other days! Definitely stop by…you won’t be disappointed!
