This Popeyes is an example of everything wrong with the food service industry. Terrible service and mediocre food for ridiculously high prices. The staff is rude and they do not pay attention to your order, then when you complain they act like it's your fault they got your order wrong. Avoid this location and it's unprofessional employees.
Subject: Review of Service Experience at Popeyes Store #9114 (Amite, LA)
Dear Popeyes Management Team,
I am writing to express my concerns regarding the experience my mother had at your Popeyes location (#9114, 1209 West Oak, Amite, LA 70442) on November 8, 2024, around 4:30 PM. My mother, who is in her mid-50s, was greeted by an attendant named Shekemmia during her visit, and unfortunately, the interaction was far from positive.
As a loyal customer of Popeyes for many years, I was both surprised and disappointed by the behavior exhibited by Shekemmia. My mother approached the drive thru to inquire about the current specials, but rather than receiving helpful or courteous assistance, Shekemmia responded in a dismissive and impatient manner. From my vantage point on the phone with my mother, I could clearly hear the tone and energy of the exchange, which felt aggressive and uninviting. My mother was simply seeking clarity on the offerings, yet Shekemmia seemed uninterested in providing the necessary information, creating a frustrating experience for her.
I understand that working in customer service can be challenging, but as a paying customer, my mother did not deserve to be treated with such a lack of professionalism or courtesy. Having been a frequent patron of this Popeyes location for years, it is disheartening to witness a decline in the level of service that I have come to expect from this brand.
I contacted the store's manager, Felicia, who was understanding and seemed genuinely concerned about the issue. While I appreciated her willingness to address the situation, I believe that the behavior displayed by Shekemmia, especially in a direct customer-facing role, can potentially have a negative impact on the restaurant’s performance and customer satisfaction scores. As a former corporate leader, I understand how important it is for every team member to reflect a positive brand image, particularly in fast food environments where first impressions and customer interactions directly affect the business.
I also feel that Popeyes, as a company, prides itself on providing excellent customer service, and I can only imagine that CEO Joshua Kobza would not be pleased with this type of interaction between an employee and a paying customer. It is crucial that all team members, especially those working directly with customers, receive ongoing training in customer service best practices, including maintaining a positive, respectful attitude even in stressful situations. Training on effective communication, active listening, and how to handle customer inquiries professionally would go a long way in ensuring such negative experiences are avoided in the future.
In addition to reaching out to the store manager, I have also contacted the General Manager as well as Vijay Kumar, the Regional Operations Manager, to seek further directive on how this matter should be addressed. I trust that you will take this feedback seriously and consider implementing further training for Shekemmia and any other staff members who may benefit from customer service tips to ensure a positive experience for every guest.

This location is ridiculous!!! They are beyond rude and openly curse over the speaker when you ask for your order. They will not give you sauce when asked for and will say they can’t. When offering to buy it they still refuse. If you ask to change something they lose their minds and say they can’t. The owners and managers condone this behavior because they set their and do it themselves and watch as the employees do it. This will be the last time we eat at any Popeyes locations in this area.

Ordered on the app to be picked up at 6:00 P.M. We waited until 6:50 before they brought me my order. It was cold when we finally got to eat it. I called to talked to someone and when I asked to speak to a manager, the lady hung up.
Placed an online order through the app in the parking lot was ready in like five minutes tops. The chicken was fresh out the grease damn near burned my fingers off eating it. I just wish the popeyes was like this in Baton Rouge with the exception of the one on Florida blvd because they really do be on top of everything.

I LOVE IT HERE!!!... CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS GREAT, THE FOOD WAS HOT & FRESH & THE WORKERS ARE AMAZING!!!... MY CASHIER "ALIZE" WAS SO SWEET & THE STORE MANAGER "FELICIA " WAS SWEET, OVER THE TOP LOVING, AMAZING & CARING. WHILE DINING IN SHE CAME 2 MAKE SURE THE FOOD WAS UP 2 PAR & 2 OUR (EVERYONE DINING IN) LIKINGS... I GIVE THIS STORE A 10 OUT OF 10... I WOULD RATE IT 1000 IF I COULD. WHENEVER I'M IN THIS AREA AGAIN THIS WOULD BE THE POPEYES FOR ME & MY FAMILY!!!... I THINK THIS STORE NEED 2 BE REMODELED 2 MAKE IT BIGGER THEY HAVE A LOT OF TRAFFIC COMING IN & I KNOW WHY... I canceled my order instead of giving me my money back. They gave me a $10 gift card through their app. Every time we order something trying to use the $10 it says that you cannot use the $10 with that.

I did a Moblie order for there a hour before they close. They wanted to act like they didn’t have my order. Then when I showed them the receipt for it they wanted to say they were closing soon and couldn’t do my order to just get a refund on it. Guy was extremely rude definitely don’t recommend going there.
