The Subway store in Amite is known for its poor treatment of customers, particularly during a recent incident where the owner kicked out two EMT/paramedic workers during National EMT/Paramedic Week. These workers, who dedicate their lives to saving others, simply came in to play pool and pass some time between their shifts. Instead of being treated with respect and appreciation for their service, they were rudely shown the door. This kind of behavior shows a lack of understanding and respect for the hardworking first responders in the community.
On top of that, the staff at this Subway location have a reputation for being generally rude and unwelcoming. From dismissive attitudes to poor customer service, it’s clear that the store lacks a focus on making customers feel comfortable and valued. Many who visit leave with a sour impression, noting that their requests are often met with impatience and a lack of professionalism. This type of behavior, combined with the disrespect shown to local EMTs, makes it clear that this Subway needs a serious attitude adjustment.

The entrance is not swept daily same nasty trash seen my 3rd visit there. Hours are incorrect or maybe workers just are lazy and don't want to be bothered. Went by after l got off of work around 8:44 and they were closed, tried to get something to eat on a Saturday night and the website site says closes at 11pm. When l pulled up, at 10:15 they cut the lights off and walked out the back doors looking at me if and attitude. I only get the meatball sub from here and they litterly place 1 meatball in a row, the meatballs are small so you are only eating bread. I will not be returning to this location

I do NOT care for this particular Subway. They are very stingy. What I mean by stingy is I only get pickles on my sandwich an sometimes a thin line of Mayo depending on the type of sandwich. 9 outta 10 I get the spicy Italian. A thin line of Mayo and pickles and cheese. I don't get it toasted either. So when I ask for pickles I ask for pickles,extra pickles and more pickles. They put around 7 on a 6\\\". I then have to repeat myself extra pickles. They add another 5. I can see in gettin eyeballed by the cashier fella and he tells her something in their language. So I feel like he's telling her no more but I then tell her I said EXTRA pickles. She add maybe 6 more. I then say whatever. Cause I can see what's happening here. This happens every single time I go to this ONE subway. I do not have this trouble out of any other subway I go to. The way I see it is normally people get a bit of every condiments and add ONS. Therefore their sandwich is so full it can't barely be closed and cut,right? ??\\u200d♀️ Well how come when I as for nothin but pickles and extra pickles and more pickles Im not bein understood or taken care of here. Like I'm asking for something wrong. Also I am a very fair tipper. I do NOT tip at this particular establishment and I try to avoid this place at all costs. I'm an adult so the sandwich with nothing but pickles obviously isn't for me it's for my children. So they are picky and only want pickles. Most people I express this too tells me they've had something similar happen to them there also. So IF I have to patron this business again I will specify that I want 50 pickles instead of extra and more because that's not comprehended. Therefore I don't recommend this particular Subway.
