Slayden's BBQ is a well known Establishment for a Cafe Style restaurant. Food is amazingly delicious and prices are very reasonable. Been in business in Bastrop La for over 70 yrs or more!!!!!!!!

Well first two times coming in n the establishment was not welcoming as it should be.. The brisket was over cooked dry had to got hinged and my throat costing me to chock Chicken was not good enough to even feed to my dog.. The potato salad man to much mustard and pickle relish Mac and cheese was great green beans and green were to sugary

Ordered the ribs and smoked sausage food was dry with no taste bbq sauce was questionable as it was watery prices haven't been updated in a decade according to the cashier who had an attitude when asked about why complete dog food

Second time I had a problem. First one was I ordered a half chicken plate and only got a leg quarter. This time same order no wing. I called the first time rude lady told me it was nothing she could do about it

I ate here years ago with my mom and remembered how delicious it was. Today my husband and I happened to be in town so we decided to stop in… we were only on the sides and my husband just kept saying it was sooo good! Friendly staff and the food is amazing.
Will never go back. Got the sliced barbecue pork sandwich, it was horrible, had no taste, meat was dry as a bone, I could have done better with lunch meat from a Dollar Store. The place was dirty, had to lay napkins on the table to keep from being stuck to it. The silverware didn't look like it had ever been washed. Should have gone with my first thought and turned right back around and left. Service was awful, lady at the register was rude. A complete waste of time and money. My advice if you ear there bring a barf bag.

First time trying and won't be back. The brisket was more of a rump roast and dry. Coleslaw was frozen. Waitress never checks on your table. Wasted nearly $20 on a plate I couldn't even eat. I feel bad for the people of Bastrop if you think this is what BBQ is supposed to be.
