First time i went my order was messed up and tgey promptly and politely refunded me, i expected that was the end of it but i received a call from the owner apologizing and giving me my next lunch on the house. I accepted and the salad is DELICIOUS with the poppy seed dressing ?

The restaurant looks like a converted house. It’s very cozy except for the chairs. I have never sat in more uncomfortable chairs that jam into your back as you try to relax. It smells like lunch at a school house cafeteria. The food is on par with what you would get in one as well. I was really excited to try this place as they make it seem as though the food is fresh from scratch and it’s not. I ordered a dish with chicken and when it came out I saw that the chicken looked grey and mushy. After biting into a piece I realized that it was mushy and not in fact real chicken, but a chicken product with grill marks painted on and doused with artificial mesquite flavoring before being frozen. It was mushy like a soaked sponge . I wouldn’t eat it and felt deceived! I don’t eat feaux food and don’t appreciate being fed fake meat. The staff were very welcoming and polite, but the food was extremely disappointing!

I moved from Bogalusa six years ago. When I lived here before, my favorite Friday lunch was the Parmesan crusted fish special with Caesar side salad and white chocolate bread pudding. I happened to be hungry and passing through town on Friday, so I called and asked what the special was. That was still their special, lucky me! It was so good, y’all! That bread pudding is honestly the best dessert I think I’ve ever had in my 41 years, and I’m a baker! I’ve never found a recipe to rival it, unfortunately. I did leave a 4 star review rather than 5 only because of the pricing. I don’t believe that a daily lunch special and dessert intended for one person (it was more than enough for my husband and I to share, but neither of us eat very much) should cost $25 including the moderate tip. That said, if I’m in town again on a Friday, I’ll stop by and spend it again. You should, too ?

Best yet in the varties , wraps , salads plate lunches. Will return n reasonable.

The food was ok but in my opinion, kinda expensive for what it was. $36 for a burger and a chicken pita (and 2 drinks). I did not like the chicken. It was rubbery not fresh. But the rest of it was good. Perfect amount of dressing to coat the lettuce and chicken without making it soggy or messy. The best thing we ate were the chips. Overall, I would probably eat here again but try something else on the menu next time

Highly recommend the Caesar salad! The dressing is Soo good! Loved the Reuben sandwich as well! Super convenient half sandwich salad combo!

Best restaurant in Bogalusa! The sandwiches are always tasty and even the seafood gumbo was good, service can be a little slow sometimes, but just be patient with them, they're always busy
