The steak and shrimp hibachi from lunch menu was good . Waitress was friendly and pleasant. The only problem and it's a big one is the odor at the south door. It was like this the last time I was there a couple ofonths ago. The odor smelled like feces. The men's rest room was bad but not nearly as bad as the entrance.

Would give 0 stars if I could. The most disgusting place I've ever eaten. Do not eat here. The sushi is disgusting, low quality meat. The rice is not cooked correctly. Everything tastes "off" or "old." Even their cooked food tastes overcooked like they are hiding something. For context, I order 3 rolls (none of them rolled well) 2 misos, and a hibachi steak and shrimp. The miso was ok, but it usually already comes in a package (points for being warm and having seaweed and tofu.) Steak and Shrimp hibachi- didnt ask for temp for steak when I ordered, totally forgot myself and thats my bad. But it was so tough and dry that I felt they were trying to slip me old meat. The shrimp was fine(?) I guess. As in I suppose it was edible, I ate it cause I was so hungry. The vegetables were undercooked by 10 minutes. No place where they serve hibachi should be having me recook their vegetables. Would not be surprised if their freezer was broken. Should be shut down. Where is the health inspector, or anyone with working tastebuds?

This place is amazing, fresh food every time, I'm not a big fan of spicy food but even that's delicious when I get it. Try the dragonfly roll, or the shrimp tempura rolls, the shrimp tempura roll is especially good for the price. Everyone working is super nice, and one lady even got me free fried ice-cream when I mentioned it was my birthday. Food is made quick most of the time and is always great quality, I love this place <3

6/11/23 Edit:I’ve decided that Yamato’s is no longer a place that I’d like to frequent. We never get serviced when we sit. We’ve had to walk out two different times just because we were never waited on. Several other times our waitress comes 10 minutes after we’ve been waiting and that’s without any customers there. When we finally get the food it’s not hot. The vegetables are hardly cooked therefore they are horrible. I would avoid this place. They close at 10pm but they close the sushi bar at 9:45pm and then I told our waitress that I wanted 3 orders of 3 rolls and only got 2 cuz that's what she heard and then I ask to talk to the sushi chef and they refused by saying it was closed when the guy was right there and I only wanted the crab roll only rice and crab meat but they. Wouldn't do that WOW just WOW and then it was small rolls.... Won't eat here again....

I was so upset ? I ordered tuna Sushi but I got to a tuna roll the rice was hot and cruchie. And a solfcrab roll and it to was hot and cruchie rice , I complain about it and they said the chef was late and they know it is hot and not cook all the way. I would not put out this food out unless it was cooked and cooled properly. And I was three others orders were made wrong, what a shame and disappointed ? ? ?
