Stopped in with my mom while we were in the area and WOW! I will definitely be taking this way home from Lafayette more often. She got the pork roast, rice dressing, corn & yams. DELICIOUS! I got corn grits. Even being re-heated, they were the best I’ve ever eaten. We both got meat from their meat and I can’t wait to try it. We will definitely be back to try out the restaurant!
Had lunch there on a Thursday, easy in and out, quick and professional service. Had fried chicken, dirty rice, corn and potato salad. Not a big corn and potato salad fan, but this was really good. Prices very reasonable large servings. Out of the way, but very cool place.
My family and I stopped here as we were heading back to Texas from Baton Rouge. I saw this place and thought we should try it out. It was delicious but there weren't any healthy options for sides. I got the crawfish etoufee which came on white rice. The only options for sides were Cajun rice, another rice I forgot what they called it, potato salad, fries and Cole slaw. I was hoping for some beans or green veggies to offset all those carbs. Spent $106 on 5 people. A tad bit...
