I had not been to Riverside in at least twenty years. But it was every bit as good as I remember from childhood. I brought a friend who had never been to LFT. We arrived early, so we killed some time walking around out front enjoying the wildlife. Tessa took great care of us, and the food was delicious. Prices are better than comparable restaurants in the city. Food volume is appropriate. My only complaint is the wine list is small and not great. They also did a great job of celebrating my friend's birthday and making her feel special.
Really nice location, felt like we were way out in the country. Service (Katy) was superb! Everything about the food was great.
We drove from Texas for Mardi Gra. The parade put us late, but they were awesome In staying and accommodating us.
The food tasted good but all of it was cold that's the only complaint our table of 7 had issues with. Friendly service staff and great drinks
Wonderful experience and our waitress was the sweetest! Best steak I have ever tasted! 10/10 Definitely recommend
Food always consistently good. Might be the best true Cajun food in this area. Always a great to eat there
One of the only places in the area that cooks from scratch! They use only local seafood, make their own salad dressing and drink mixes. They have been doing " farm to table " for over 40 years! Nothing new to these guys. They don't use things from a box that says "organic" on it, they actually don't use anything from a box, period!! Good Cajun food with homemade ingredients! Can't beat it! 100 🌟 IMO....
Riverside's Cottage hosted my sister's wedding last night and it couldn't have turned out better! The venue was beautiful, the food was amazingly delicious, but the staff blew my mind! Ms. Rhea helped me through the planning process, the owners, Richard and Lori showed up to greet us at the wedding and then Dolly and Spencer took care of the food and bar and us! I can't express how wonderful it is to know that there are still restaurants that treat patrons with such care and attention. Top Notch!!!! Thank you!
I always take my Dad to different restaurants when visiting from out of town. He suggested we go to Riverside Inn. Well that was the worst experience ever, the baked sweet potato was so overcooked and the hamburger steak was also overcooked making it so dry and tasteless. My Dad had the shrimp platter and frankly I'd be embarrassed to serve such puny shrimp for that price. We paid good money, the food is expensive there for terrible quality. You think after being in business so long they would do better than this. Disappointing! ?

My father had a lot of good things to say about this place so we gave it a shot- first off the food quality was horrible- everything on the plate was the same color - dad was embarrassed- we were disappointed- step up food quality - cost didn't reflect what we got - I would love to test the fish and verify that 1 it was actually redfish and secondly his filet was flounder - you are more than welcome to reply to this to verify - it's a constant disappointment to pay 100s of dollars foe dinner and be dissatisfied - we left the leftovers for the raccoons - let me know if they ate it all - horrible dog poop experience - that is why so many Cajun restaurants are failing in area -

Always consistent always one of the best places to eat in Acadiana!
Family has been for 60+ years as for my 42 years and always fabulous. Get the combo appetizer it’s filling pace yourself and take the rest to go for breakfast! My standby is the crab dinner a generous serving of the best of crab offerings. Spouse enjoyed the crawfish dinner. Other dinners with us had the flounder, and crawfish ettouffee! Too full for desert but the bread pudding is always a good choice!
Parking: Gravel parking leads up to wood deck with handicap ramp.
