We stopped by this gem off the beaten path on a roadtrip from Dallas to Baton Rouge. The food was AMAZING! (Last night we had dinner at James beard award restaurant in New Orleans for context). They get the authentic French bread from New Orleans for their Poboys that are crunchy on the outside and light and soft on the inside. The owner told us they hand bread the shrimp every day. Bernice’s sandwich shop has the best homemade burgers in town! If you like po boys, you have to try the roast beef with gravy or the bbq beef poboy. All home style cooking. Definitely the best spot to eat in town. Dine in available!
What a nice little dining gem in Bunkie! This was my first visit. I ran upon this place while looking for another place. I had already eaten lunch, but the menu was so inviting, so I ordered onion rings. OMG! OMG! The best onion rings I have had in an extremely long time! The service was awesome, and they even have a sit-down area. I am going back to try the "Killer" burger and the "Flook" burger!
