The kids (13 & 16) didn't enjoy the meal as well as I did but, it wasn't a 5 ⭐️ visit for me either. We'll go back but, tonight wasn't one for the record books.

I was so disappointed the last time I was here. The server got my order completely wrong. Then she brought it back but instead of bringing back my order on a different plate she brought it back on the same plate and had scrapped the queso off the food!! I couldn’t believe what I was seeing!! I didn’t send it back again for fear of retaliation. She had a very bad attitude and I told her that I used to love dining there but this would be my last time

Service was great. Our server was super friendly and helpful. The salsa was really good and the chips average. My fajita steak meat in my soft taco was well overdone and dry. The dining room needs some love. It was pretty cool so bring a jacket.

My wife have eaten at the Iron Cactus a lot of times. On our last visit we were very disappointed.
The atmosphere and service was good. We order a chicken botanna and the chips were either cook to long or fried in old grease, because they had a horrible taste to them. We will not let this stop us from going there, but hope it doesn't happen again.

Very clean nice establishment. Our waitress was phenomenal. Salsa is good as you will get. Queso dip very good. Big menu ,price point was average. For me the food was just ok. Taco salad meat was not seasoned. Had a odd after taste. Wife had the Mexican cornbread that was over cooked and had a scorch taste. The soup was way over salted. Would be 3* ,but waitress and salsa get
S a star.

Great Food!!! Friendly Service!!!
I went to Iron Cactus tonight and I asked for a regular ground beef nacho with just queso and ground beef only. We get our food an the lady disappears. My food had shredded cheese not queso. When my party was done eating she finally decided to come back to the table. I looked at her and told her my food is wrong that it was suppose to have queso. She looked at me and said I didn’t hear you say that but heard me say I didn’t want anything else on it and also repeated it to me. She looked at me and asked me if I wanted her to remake it with an attitude I told her no I don’t want anything I mean the rest of the table was done eating. She brings the check and walks beside me and says “next time tell us you want queso,” my cousin finally looked at her and said she did say it she said she wanted ground beef and queso only. Untouched nachos and still made us paid when it was her fault maybe clean your ears out next time. We will never be back
This was great. Took a little while for the food to come. But it was definitely worth the wait. So much flavor.

Best Mexican food and best salsa
Always yummy! I love their guacamole and salsa. The margaritas are good, but beware they are sneaky strong!
Frozen margaritas was good but overpriced, the food was horrible rice not cooked with no Mexican flavor.. Beef enchiladas taste like regular ground beef no Mexican flavor.. the cheese on top was shredded cheese out of a bag.. and was an extra buck fifty…
the chips were broken pieces and had an old oil taste
I would never recommend this place to anyone..
Great local spot. Owner takes time to be friendly and service oriented to everyone who comes in. Staff is great and welcoming. Stuffed avocado is really good.
Where do i start, Our waiter Jacqueline or as she asked to call her jackie was the most caring and wonderful most hard working waiter i’ve had in my lifetime. She treated us with the upmost respect she kept the margs coming for the buddies around me and had the chips served hot and ready like little ceasers. I had the enchiladas and she told me it was her favorite so i couldn’t tell her otherwise. She placed us in the cactus room and i felt like i was living at the vip level like the executives of the world. I wish i lived in austin so i could come around here more often. The queso was alright but the guac was made with all of jackie’s heart and we respected her quite a bit for it. Saw orange in guacamole for the first time, WAS QUITE A NICE TOUCH! I’d suggest jackie gets a raise with how hard she works.
