I got the smothered potatoes and sausage with a add on of steak on the side. So me and my son can share. The food was horrible, nasty and potatoes was leaking into my sides. ( poor presentation) I called the establishment & spoke with Veronica, began to tell her that I was not pleased with the food at all. She began immediately in defense mode stating she just taste the smothered potatoes and it was good, to her likings. I then said it was not good to me, the potatoes and meat tasted like pure onion broth and the potatoes was from a box, to top it off sausage was not cut into slices. The owner was not at all unapologetic nor did she offer if I would like anything else. Wasted $30 and lunch in the trash. Veronica did not display in customer service skills, nor did she show anything about the situation, just cocky, disrespectful, and lack professionalism. Needless to say I will never buy from her establishement again.

My mom and I are on a plate lunch tour across Acadiana and Veronica's is currently our #1 out of 46 we've been to. Love the turkey wings, pot roast, dirty rice, etc. The Sunday bbq is awesome too, especially the pork steak and smoked sausage. Love
