Small charbroiled oysters, served without shells served individually in a beautiful dish. Fish tacos with Cole slaw, avocado and a delicate salsa. Fried sweet potatoes. Reasonable price. Beautiful view and peaceful experience. The place was spotless clean. Excellent service.

Food was great. The servers were always nice. However, I found it very embarrassing when the manager came up to our table in the middle of the busy bar to ask for our ids as we so obviously have beer on the table. As someone out of state living in the very secluded town of Cocodrie for work, coco marina has been a very frequent spot for me and my coworkers. Checking our ids at the bar is fine. I understand. But when the waitress told us there was a rumor amongst the staff that we were using fakes, it made me feel very uncomfortable and embarrassed as if all the staff were talking about me. The very calm and carefree atmosphere was interrupted by a constant flow of harassment for my id yet they still continued to serve us. I imagine if the concern is so great they should invest in a card scanner, or perhaps delegate one team member to question us in a private manor. I think it’s important to mention I am 21 and would brush it off if I were actually an underage drinker. I recommend a better plan for handling concerns for fake ids. Rather than gossiping and having multiple employees harass us, perhaps a more friendly approach would not scare off those of us who actually are of age. Once again, the atmosphere until now has been great! But I would be weary if I were a tourist visiting.

I have gone here a few times and the servers and bartenders were friendly, but the most recent time I went I was harassed when I bought a beer. I am over 21 but from out of state and I was confronted multiple times and asked to present my drivers license and questioned about my zip code and address. One of the servers explained that there was a rumor among the bartenders that my license was fake. I was left feeling humiliated and I would not recommend coming to the bar if you do not have a local license.

Delicious food and dessert. So glad we came to check it out! Grilled mahi, shrimp pasta, and bread pudding were fantastic. We will be back!!

It’s been year since I’ve been to Coco Marina.They now have newly constructed living quarters that are comfortable and up to date.Restaurants was very good also.
