My husband and I started stopping here in the summer. We pass through this little town twice a month. We absolutely fell in love with the food and the people the first few times we ate here. Unfortunately the past couple of monthly trips weren’t as good. Last week we decided the give it a try after a not so good experience the month before. The food was absolutely disgusting. The shrimp my husband ordered were poorly battered and stuck together and his potato salad was like a mustard soup. My fish was so salty and my fries were so overcooked that there wasn’t even potato left inside the skin. The service was decent but we felt as though we weren’t as welcome as we were during our first few trips last summer. I don’t know what has happened in this place but I sure miss being able to stop for my taste of home.

Jameson was the best server we ever had! However, the steak tasted weird, almost like lighter fluid. When we told the waiter, he said the manager “offered to cook it longer”. We literally paid for steak that wasn’t fit to eat and now have to go elsewhere to feed our son something else to eat. Also hearing the manager yelling at the kitchen staff is very unprofessional. This was our first and last time to eat there! This was at the Monroe location, not the Columbia location.

Great food. Cajun etoufee was awesome. Fresh perfect fried catfish. I got lucky driving thru town. Saw the unassuming front. Great service by Hanna. Highest recommendation!! Town is lucky to have this. Idiots gave bad reviews.

Got there around 12:50, ordered around 1:10, didn’t receive food until 2:20. Once we did get the food it was cold like it had been sitting back in the kitchen for well over 20 minutes. Yes they did have other customers but a bigger table than us that got sat 30 minutes after us ate and left before we got our food. Don’t think I’ll be back after this.

Really authentic Cajun taste. The Gumbo tastes like my homemade. Fried alligator was tender and tasty. Fried onions were thin ang crispy just like we like. Definitely will stop again.
