My $23 dollar catfish and $3 dollar drink was somehow $29. I asked here to change the drink to a cup of water (the water here tastes nasty) and somehow it was still almost $28. That math don't math right. I feel like I was being gouged because I'm a white oilfield worker. It's not the 1st time I have had it happen to me. The wait for my food was kind of long' but it's ok, the catfish was cooked fresh and it was good. Overall small town catfish with water shouldn't be $28 in my opinion.
The food is good
. The prices are a little high but what can expect which prices of groceries go up everywhere

Fresh hot quality chicken flavored to perfection by a fantastically friendly and experienced staff that makes you feel like you are part of the family. Today I'm eating the Fish and Shrimp combo with hot fries, coleslaw, and hush puppies. There is enough food for two people to enjoy comfortably except I couldn't stop myself from eating all of it by myself. The handmade pies are spectacular so buy one and save it for later.Find a reason to visit Coushatta Louisiana so you can try it for yourself.

This place really hasn't changed hardly any at all in the last 20 years or so. Not saying that's a bad thing. The food is good and the wait isn't that long. It can be a little pricey but overall it's a great place to eat.
Service and food were amazing. Was traveling through and the family wanted to drop in a local diner. Staff accommodated us even though they were close to closing. They didn’t act annoyed and were more than glad to serve us!

Tried out this down-home cooking spot, and let me tell you—it was fine. The food did the job, but it didn’t exactly feel like grandma was back there stirring the pots. The fried chicken was crispy but could’ve used more seasoning, the sides were decent but kind of flat (mashed potatoes should not taste like tap water, y’all)!
Service was friendly, portions were generous, and the price wasn’t bad. But if you’re expecting soul-warming comfort food that makes you want to loosen your belt and nap on the porch afterward, this wasn’t quite it.
– worth it if you’re already hungry and nearby, but not a “go out of your way” kind of place.
