I was looking forward to dining at Lakewood after not visiting for seven years. This time, I was excited to bring my family along as we were celebrating a birthday. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing, with the best part being the time spent with my family rather than the meal itself.

Service was good and food was not as good as it usually is. Proportions where extremely small and highly over priced this visit and the alligator bits where so tough you couldn't chew them, boiled shrimp was not cooked in any seasoning but was covered in Cayenne pepper to the point it wasn't even edible, blooming onion had no flavor to batter and was wat undercooked and the sauce was sweet and just didn't go with it. Absolutely loved this place, location, service, food, everything was great. If I had to come up with some kinda complaint the only thing I can possibly come up with would be that they need more lighting in the womens restroom, that's literally all I can come up with lol. We drove an hour to try it this place out and it was well worth it and can't wait to go back
