The food and service was excellent! I love grilled oysters and these were amazing. We tried the plain chargrilled and the Cajun crawfish topped. Wow. So good! My husband got the daily special which was tomato gravy and sausage over rice. It was really good. I had the grilled red fish with sweet potato fries. It was also really good. We both had side salads with the house dressing. It was a peppery dressing similar to ranch. I really enjoyed it. And the rolls were like a soft French bread. Yummy. I would definitely eat here again and would recommend to anyone.

Been wanting to try this place for a whole. Finally stopped in. Price point was okay but food was not good. Gumbo lacked flavor, charbroiled oysters were okay. There were a lot of servers present but I had to seek out my server on more than one occasion. All in all, probably good for tourists, but not otherwise.

They should be ashamed of themselves for even bringing those SALTY MICROSCOPIC oysters from the kitchen. Nevermind there was shell in everyone of them and in every bite of the crab cakes. DO NOT RECOMMEND A table of 13 and the only ones that enjoyed their meal were the 3 kids and their corn dogs.

So me and my wife went eat an early supper. I ordered the half shrimp half oyster plate. My wife had the crawfish étouffée dinner. So when we got our food, I noticed that the shrimp for a good size, but I had five oysters that were teeny tiny and pathetic. I got the manager and told the manager that I'm paying $25 for and a half and half. I get these piss, poor oysters. They're so small they're not worth anything she did bring me more oysters that were bigger and much better but at the same time my wife's étouffée barely had any crawfish in it for $20, this is my third time going to Fizeau's and I will probably never go again because it's not worth it. Very high prices and small portions. It's ridiculous. I'll spend my money elsewhere.

The oysters were surprisingly really good. We tried them chargrilled, two different ways. The side salad is basic but the house made ranch was very tasty. I got the special which was a fried shrimp enchilada and it was decent but missing enchilada sauce and heat (the spicy kind). Others at the table liked their meals but nothing to rave about. Service got them a 3rd star. The atmosphere is ok but could use some energy (maybe music or something). The cost is very reasonable. Will definitely go here again when driving along I-10 and need a food break.

Drove over from Lake Charles because I wanted grilled fish for supper and the casino restaurants were closed.Wondered why they weren't busy in their BRAND NEW building. Found out why when I went in.Greeter was very nice. Unless you consider where she seated me. I am on crutches and she chose to seat me as far away from the entrance as she could. Strike 1Added to this it took 10 minutes to get a server to take our drink order. And ANOTHER ten to receive it. All while sitting in chairs that are not designed to be comfortable. These were 30 minute chairs max. Strike 2Prices... let's talk prices. It's easy to see why they weren't busy. Talk about sticker shock.3 (three) oysters for $10? $30 for Red Snapper? Strike 3... You're out.I just removed you from my list of eating places. I know you won't miss me, but maybe a few people will look at my review and decide to go elsewhere. You were a much better restaurant in the old building.(Disclaimer: I may be off on the prices by a little, but if I am, I'm pretty sure I am on the low side)

The waitress, Grace, I had was extremely depressing and shouldn't wear her heart on her sleeve at work very rude.

Hamburger Steak was on the dry side and salty. The gravy can be a bit better. This was a takeout order.

The food had absolutely no flavor. The appetizers weren't too bad. The fried mushrooms were nice and juicy, the hush puppies were nice. The chicken fried steak was so tough we couldn't eat it and the red beans and rice as well as the shrimp and corn bisque were plain, didn't even taste like it had any seasoning at all

8 yrs ago was the first time I came to Lafayette from Tn and my friend took me to fezzo's. I fell in love with the charbroil oysters...thru the first 5 yrs I felt like fezzo's in Scott had the #1 oysters...but for the last 3yrs the food at all the fezzo's has really disappointed me ..I didn't order oysters this last visit I ordered the corn bisque..it was ok but to my really disappointment we ordered the bread pudding and it came out cold and wasn't anything like we were used to getting..very sad!!! We told our server and she said she would tell the cook...

My husband ordered blackened catfish, and I ordered the chili glazed salmon... both were HORRIBLE! The blackened catfish had no flavor at all! And the chili, glazed salmon had the strangest taste... It almost seemed like it had tomatoes on it. Most places I go, I order, salmon, typically a chili glazed salmon... Never had one like this before, and it was NOT good! I also had a side of grilled vegetables, they were flavorless, and had a super strange texture... Almost as if they had just been microwaved. It is so disappointing especially for a whopping $25 per dish.

Not impressed with overall flavors and quality.Red fish had too much salt and the rest I ordered was mediocre, considering the price.

Crayfish etouffe over rice was excellent. Also had fresh soft bread and delicious side salad. Hot bread pudding with cream cheese icing. Delicious!?

Didn't eat here but had to pick up deliveries. Every time the staff has been super helpful and nice and the atmosphere is great. Very clean and professional!

We had the lunch specials which were hamburger steak/mashed potatoes/roll/green beans and shrimp tacos/sweet potato fries. Ample luncheon portions for $10.99 each. Delicious food-pleasant atmosphere-clean facility-conscientious waitress. We will definitely return.
