Stopped in on our way through town on a road trip, found on google & it was such a nice surprise. Amazing food & service. We had gumbo & a couple of pies. Both were FANTASTIC! Wish we were local so we could visit often.
Cute quaint spot, ive heard the pies are wonderful but we were juked because there were none in the display. Turns out they just didnt put them out. Had a lunch plate, shrimp etoufee, smothered okra, fried catfish and cornbread. The cornbread was the best cornbread Ive ever had, almost had the texture of angel food cake. I dont think I'd do the Okra again though, had a weird taste. Great amount of food for $12
We are from Hammond, la and stopped in at Neesies today. The food was delicious and picked up one of her famous pies. The owner was very engaged with her customers, Ms Denise. This place was 100% worth my drive out the way. The pie was phenomenal ?
