Got some donut holes for my toddler and they were not cooked all the way through. The regular glazed donuts were also undercooked, doughy in the middle. They were more bread than donut, lacking sweetness at all.

Awesome place. In case you’re looking for the original, old fashion, handmade, heartwarming Cajun bakery products - here it is. Take the detour for sure. The staff is super nice with a smile on their faces, even when you ask touristy questions.
Tip: when you walk in and you can’t spot the donuts, don’t be afraid. They are behind a magic door since - believe it or not- they are freshly made and still warm. Two types- glazed and chocolate. This is pure focus on the best! The taste and texture: not as sweet as the usual donut which I really liked. Texture is way better than the franchise donuts. You taste and feel the manual work, ingredients and love that is going into their products.

I have been going to this bakery for as long as I can remember, and I'm fift-three years old. It used to be owned by a former neighbor of mine, Ms. Virginia. It was absolutely perfect then; however, not all of the original recipes are used anymore. I still love getting my birthday cakes and the chocolate eclairs; no one can beat those. Ruddock's is legendary. It is still the best pastry that you can get in Crowley. My favorite: cake with pineapple filling.

Cannot say enough good, I mean great things about this bakery. Best wedding cake ever tasted...best anywhere including France. The service is beyond belief. One time we were delayed in traffic, yet, an employee was willing to wait an extra 30 minutes so that we might get our order en route home. I wish they were local, but then again, I would likely eat too much of their desserts.
