Have eaten here several times and usually go with catfish or shrimp, but tonight I had the Country Fried Steak with sides of green beans and mashed potatoes, with white gravy. Oh my goodness. Home-cooked southern style soul food at its best! My dinner partner had the fried pork chops and she said they were delicious as well. And of course we had sweet tea to wash it all down with. Prices are reasonable, our order was up quick, and the atmosphere is homey, with Christian worship...
They make the food to order as soon as you order it. Everyone in there was nice and welcoming. The food itself was delicious. I got a kids fish for myself because I wasn't really hungry and there was still more than enough to get full. I will definitely be back to try other items.
Alright folks, this café has a pretty sizable menu but I'm crazy for the fried catfish! These are the absolute BEST I've eaten anywhere and, I've tried them all across the country. They come with a couple of hush puppies and corn fritters, slaw and your choice of a side. I love the fried okra! Yeah, a lot of fried food...but if you only eat it once a month, your system should be able to handle it! Seriously though, this catfish is well worth the drive out...
