Serves was awesome, food was the best I have ever ate, and even though prices are a little high , it is well worth it and I would eat here as often as I can

Called to place a Togo order and I had a question about pricing before proceeding about adding a baked potato and she said ok one second I’ll tell you , asked a few more questions about how I wanted it, then proceeded to ask me a name and told me it would be 20 mins. I then told
Her I just wanted to confirm the price before proceeding with the order she said oh, great and hung up. Won’t be giving this place any business. Or referring it to any of the 100’s of people here working out of town with me.

I tried Gaston's BBQ for the first time tonight. I ordered a 2 meat plate.. brisket and pulled pork w/loaded potato salad and baked beans and the owner also threw in a lil sausage for me to try. It was OUTSTANDING!! All of it!! Thank you.. I WILL be back.

What great BBQ and amazing true southern hospitality! Came to Gaston’s shortly before it officially closed in the evening, but were still warmly welcomed and served some of the most amazing BBQ that I ever had. We were even served a free sample of the super tender & delicious brisket. And I recieved tips from the chef how to get such results along with free box of his seasoning. Thanks so much to the entire team for this wonderful experience!

Delicious as always! All the meats are delicious. Great ribs. The drinks are always exceptionally well made and so tasty.

The brisket plate had 3 slices of meat, if you want to call it that. It was solid fat. Will not go back !!!

I had the sausage and brisket with smothered green beans and mac and cheese. Everything was delicious. The brisket was melt in your mouth tender. My son had their burger and fries. They were cooked to perfection, and the fries were seasoned perfectly. My wife enjoyed her salmon, and my father in law enjoyed his charbroilled shrimp. All in all a good experience and we will go there again.

So my son asked me to go again this evening. I took this as an opportunity to try some items I didn't 1st time around. I got a cup of duck gumbo and potato salad. The gumbo had a rich flavor that paired well with their potato salad. This is not the kind of potato salad most think of in this area as it has no eggs. The flavor was a bit mild but delicious. I also tried the ribs. As you would expect from properly cooked ribs, the meat fell off the bone. Needless to say, my taste buds were more than satisfied. I am saving my cheesecake for later, but my son said it has a sweet and rich flavor.

Didn’t taste good. My salad was old lettuce, tomatoes over ripe, brisket lacked flavor, chicken breast looked like it was from frozen then cooked on a George Foreman grill and the nachos were horrible - kettle chips with thick can cheese. Spent $40 and we didn’t enjoy any of it.

Real good smoked meat for a buffet! The chocolate cake with caramel icing was to die for!!

You can tell that the meat was frozen and not cooked fresh off a pit. The Mac n cheese tasted kinda sour and the beans tasted burnt. The burnt prices on appetizers was delicious. If they would make the meats fresh on the pit ad ordered it would be class A. It was o.k. and a nice place inside. The workers were very friendly

The owner's son who was running this restaurant tonight is very rude & unprofessional. I brought a group of 20 people to eat... over half the restaurant business was sent by me. And he had the nerve to yell @ me for grabbing forks for our group; as it was obvious they were unstaffed (he couldn't handle any refills which was understandable but not yelling at a customer). We will not be back as the food was terrible and the service was worse!

Placed a to-go order and it was very good. I ordered the 2 meat plate (brisket and pulled pork) and my daughter had the BBQ shrimp plate. This place is very clean inside and looks inviting. The guy behind the bar with a pony tail was very attentive, extremely personable and friendly. Inviting atmosphere and the place SMELLS SO GOOD inside and out. The only complaint I have is the macaroni and cheese, which didn't have any flavor at all. I also had the carrot cake. It was also very moist, the icing was fabulous, but the cake itself didn't have much flavor. It was only my 1st time trying Gastons but overall, I'd eat here 100 times over any other restaurant around Donaldsonville, which aren't very many. Very happy this place is here and hope it stays!
